what did that say in a nutshell? Too Long!

POINT 1 - If you aren't taken up in The Rapture, then you will be here for the "Great Tribulation." If you don't receive the Mark of The Beast (Probably an RFID VeriChip), you will not be allowed to buy, sell, work, travel, or even live. The Bible says those who refuse the Mark will be beheaded. (preferable to the alternative of Everlasting Hellfire - the price of accepting The Mark.)

Point 2 - Bush is a fool & figurehead. The real power, those who really run this country, is hidden from view. "Pay no attention to the man behind the Curtain," said the Wizard of Oz.

Point 3 - Cheney and Rumsfeld, are war criminals and war profiteers who think they are above the law. If a politician with any morals & chutzpa (Balls) is ever elected President, maybe we will get some Justice for a change and see them behind bars where the belong.

Point 4 - While I admit a little exaggeration in the thread header, I believe that military strikes against Iran cannot be far off. We have troops in Afghanistan, Iraq (40,000 more than last year thanks to the "surge") and THREE Carrier Strike Groups in the Persian Gulf. Not only do we have massive amounts of available air power in the region, but a CSG Normally has at least 1 sub attached to it. There are probably more. Each sub carries 154 SLBM Nuclear Capable Tomahawk cruise missiles. That's at LEAST 462 missles, not counting ALCM missles carried by B-52 and B-1B bombers, and SLCM's carried by guided missle destroyers and cruisers like the U.S.S. Ticonderoga. In Theory, the US can launch almost 1,000 Tomahawks simultaneously.

So, In a Nutshell, Ahmadinejad's fucked, people "Left Behind" are fucked, and if we, as citizens of the world's greatest democracy are, if we don't demand change, fucked.

This is a cosmic knot in time.

We're not going to be the ones to cut the knot.

But we're going to have to adapt to what's left.

That's our responsibility : to survive after.

The reason my observations are "different" than what one would normally see on the Internet, is because as a reporter in real life, if I post something, I WILL have the facts to back it up. I can provide a link to every single point I made - and not to some Leftist or NeoCon website either.

I like to think of myself as an Independant Freethinker. I will only make up my mind about something after I have analyzed the facts, and come to a reasonable conclusion about their meaning and relationship to one another. I will not post "Conspiracy Theories," the "Party Line," or propaganda from the Left OR the Right. If I have an opinion, it will be labeled as such.

As Fox Mulder used to say, "The Truth is Out There." One simply has to be able to wade through all the bullshit on the Internet and THINK CRITICALLY in order to find it.

Re: BREAKING==WWIII - Iran 2B NUKED This Month==BREAKING
---------------------------------------------militia

Let me tell you what I do believe - Backed up by verifiable facts. And not Michael Moore Facts either:

1 - This country has been hijacked by men at the highest levels of industry, big business, big oil, and old money. The Beast is alive and well, cataloging our every purchase with bar codes and RFID chips.
----------The time will come very soon when each and every one of us will be required to have an RFID chip implanted under our skin. "To combat terrorism," they will say," or "to keep our medical records private, our credit cards secure; to ward off identity theft." The chip will take the place of drivers licenses and Social Security cards. It will effectively be a hack-proof, forgery-proof National Identity Card.
[link to www.wethepeoplewillnotbechipped.com]
----------But before the chip, comes "RealID." Effective NEXT YEAR - 2008, if you live or work in the United States, you'll need a federally approved ID card to travel on an airplane, open a bank account, collect Social Security payments, or take advantage of nearly any government service. The "RealID Act" was attached to an $82-billion military spending bill in 2005.
----------What's going to be stored on this ID card?
----------At a minimum: name, birth date, sex, ID number, a digital photograph, address, and a "common machine-readable technology" that Homeland Security will decide on. The card must also sport "physical security features designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for fraudulent purposes."
----------Homeland Security is permitted to add additional requirements--such as a fingerprint or retinal scan--on top of those. We won't know for a while what these additional requirements will be.
----------Does anybody care to take a guess what will happen if you were to refuse to get tagged or chipped? You will be placed on a “Bad Actor’s List” maintained by the Secret Service! That’s right boys and girls, President Bush has issued a decree, excuse me, an “Executive Order,” prohibiting persons on this list, including U.S. Citizens, from any transaction or travel.
----------Chicago resident and American citizen Muhammed Salah knows all too well what happens – he was the first U.S. citizen placed on the list over. Salah cannot legally WORK to earn a paycheck to support his wife and 5 kids, travel anywhere, he may not SELL anything, his bank accounts are FROZEN, he cannot pay a DOCTOR, DRIVE, or BUY so much as a Slurpee at 7-11 without permission from the Treasury Department I don’t know kids, sounds like maybe there is something to the Mark of the Beast and the Book of Revelation to me! – U.S. News & World Report Sept 3rd, 2007, pp 32-33

2 - George Bush is an idiot, used as a figurehead by the real power behind the throne. His main reason for starting the Iraq war, by his own admission, was to kill the man (Saddam) who "tried to assassinate my dad." He just happens to be fortunate that his personal reasons for the invasion dovetail nicely with the ambitions of the Defense/Big Oil/New World Order complex.
----------Also, the American people should know about George W. Bush’s relationship with the family of Osama bin Laden. Salem bin Laden, Osama’s older brother, was an investor in Arbusto Energy. – the Texas oil company started by George W. Bush. Arbusto means “Bush” in Spanish.
----------Since the start of the "war on terrorism", the Carlyle Group, whose members have included former SecState James Baker, former British Prime Minister John Major, Philippine Pres. Fidel Ramos, and of course former POTUS George Herbert Walker Bush. ----------The Carlyle Group is a global private equity firm with $75.6 billion under management committed to 55 funds. Carlyle invests in buyouts, venture & growth capital, real estate and leveraged finance in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America focusing on aerospace & defense, automotive & transportation, consumer & retail, energy & power, financial services, health care, industrial, infrastructure, technology & business services and telecommunications & media.
----------Aerospace & Defense - How we Kill Jihadis
----------Auto & Transport - How We Get There to Kill 'em
----------Consumer & Retail - Amassing Huge Databases w/RFID
----------Energy & Power - Record High Gas Prices & Profits
----------Financial Services - Their banks hold our mortgages,
-----------------------------------and if we should default, the home reverts to them.
----------Industrial - Building Bombs, Missiles, Planes & Tanks
----------Technology - 100% Targeting accuracy, Sat Tracking
----------Telecom & Media - How Better to Spread Disinformation and outright lies?

----------The firm - unofficially valued at $13.5bn - has taken on an added significance. Carlyle has become the thread which indirectly links American military policy in Afghanistan to the personal financial fortunes of its celebrity employees, not least of whom is the current president's father. Carlyle also provided another curious link to the Afghan crisis: among the firm's multi-million-dollar investors were members of the family of Osama bin Laden.

3 - Big Oil, those who are sucking every penny they can out of our pockets, wanted the war in Iraq and the imminent war in Iran to destabilize and topple unfriendly governments (regime change) so they could maximize profits in the short term, and exert complete control over 2/3 of the world's known oil reserves in the future.
----------But for now, manufacturing the ILLUSION of instability in the middle east, Big Oil can run up prices at the pump all day and get away with it. And with a sympathetic President running interference with Congress, insuring that there will be no windfall profits tax, these multi-national, global monstrosities have absolutely no incentive to back down on the price of gas at the pump.
-----------At the same time, the administration is beating the war drums over Iran's Nuclear ambitions. Granted, a nuclear armed terrorist state like Iran is an intolerable risk, but let's not be naive like we were in the run-up to "Operation Iraqi Freedom" when we were fed the lies of WMD's under Saddam's control. Iran sits atop a lake of black gold measured in the TRILLIONS of barrels. This oil would keep the world running for another 50 years - and Big Oil wants a slice of that pie!
----------Exxon, the world's biggest publicly traded company by revenue posted net earnings of $39.5 billion on revenue of $377.6 billion last year, topping its previous profit record of $36.1 billion in 2005, which at the time was the largest for any U.S. company.
money.cnn.com/2007/02/01/news/companies/exxon/index.htm
----------Coming off three straight years of record profits, Chevron Corp. reported its earnings surged yet again to start 2007 as the oil company cashed in on lucrative refining margins that have contributed to high gasoline prices.
[link to asp.usatoday.com]
----------Since George Bush became President in 2001, the top five oil companies in the United States have recorded profits of $464 billion through the first quarter of 2007:
----------ExxonMobil: $158.5 billion
----------Shell: $108.5 billion
----------BP: $89.2 billion
----------ChevronTexaco: $60.9 billion
----------ConocoPhillips: $46.9 billion
----------WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush rejected calls to tax oil companies' record profits, but said he expects those companies to re-invest those profits in alternative fuels and new energy technologies - Like that's going to happen.

4 - Dick Cheney is a war profiteer. His company, Halliburton is making hundreds of billions of dollars off of the "War on Terror." As soon as his term as VP is over, he will go right back to Halliburton as Chairman of the Board. He should be impeached and jailed but he never will be. In fact, the value of his Halliburton stock has risen 3,281% since the beginning of "Operation Iraqi Freedom.
----------After Desert Storm, SecDef Cheney awarded Halliburton subsidiary Brown and Root an 8.5 million dollar contract to study the feasibility of supplementing American troops with civilian contractors, or mercenaries, if you prefer. After his government stint ended, Cheney became the Chairman and CEO of Halliburton from 1995 until 2000.
----------Halliburton, an energy company, and its subsidiary Kellogg, Brown, and Root (now KBR), now control most aspects of daily life in Iraq from, now get this, The IMPORTATION of Gasoline, to private "Security Forces," to feeding troops deployed In Theater. As of Feb. 7th, 2007, 98 KBR employees have died, and more than 430 have been wounded in hostile action.
----------One point of note, KBR charges the Pentagon $26 per soldier, per meal. They keep track not by counting soldiers, but by counting the disposable trays from which they eat. It's sandy and windy in Iraq, so soldiers will often take 2 trays - 1 to cover their food. So KBR ends up charging $52 per soldier, per meal.

------------------------------------ macgun dick

5 - Former SecDef Donald Rumsfeld is a war criminal - and a dumbass to boot. The smartest people in the world were giving advice to the administration. "Though the U.S. State Department had conducted a comprehensive study of the problems of occupying Iraq, its conclusions were ignored by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld." - Center for Strategic and International Studies.
----------Does the administration expect us to believe that they didn't know disbanding the Iraqi army, and banning members of the Ba'ath Party from holding office or even working would create a ready-made, armed insurgency? Belonging to the Ba'ath Party was pretty much an obligation if one wished to hold a job in Saddam's Iraq; Just like belonging to the Nazi Party in WWII Germany was required of all working citizens - even if they didn't agree with the party's belief system.
----------Disbanding these two entities created an unemployment nightmare overnight, so that if one wanted to feed one's family, joining the insurgency or militia was the only option. And with no security system to rely on, it was only a matter of time before 200 years worth of blood feuds between Sunni and Shia factions exploded into the bloodbath we are currently witnessing in Iraq.
----------Are we to believe that Rumsfeld didn't know unguarded weapons depots would be inviting targets for terrorists, Sunni insurgents, and Shia militia looking to arm themselves? They knew a civil war was coming; how did American war planners not know?
----------They KNEW! In fact, they were counting on it! If the Iraqis were busy fighting each other, Rumsfeld and his minions reasoned, then they wouldn't be fighting us. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way. The Shia, Sunni, AND foreign Arab terrorists all took their potshots at American and coalition forces in between their own sectarian battles.
[link to www.strategicstudiesinstitute.army.mil]

6 - The CIA funded Osama Bin Laden and the mujaheddin in Afghanistan during the Russian occupation. When Bin Laden was in Somalia, he was offered to the US, gift wrapped, with a bow on his head. But our government didn't want him.
----------Bin Laden could have been captured during the battle of Tora Bora, but he was left with a way out through Pakistan. Why? Because to unite a people behind a political agenda, there HAS to be a "Bogeyman." And a dead one just won't do.
abomb abomb abomb abomb
7- The United States WILL attack Iran in the near future. Currently we have troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Iran is flanked on both sides by the most awesome and destructive military power the world has every seen.
----------There are 3 Carrier Strike Groups in the Persian Gulf. This flanks Iran on a third side, providing a platform from which to launch a devastating air campaign with cruise missiles and aircraft, and cuts off any water-borne supply route or means of escape.
----------Nimitz CSG 11, commanded by Rear Adm. John Terence Blake, includes the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Nimitz and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11; Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 23; the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59); and the guided-missile destroyers USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), USS Higgins (DDG 76), USS Chafee (DDG 90), and USS Pinckney (DDG 91); Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron Light (HSL) 49 “Scorpions,” HSL-37 “Easy Riders,” and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit 11, Det. 15.
----------The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) entered the Persian Gulf on March 27, escorted by the guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54). This strike Group includes, CVW 9, Destroyer Squadron 21, USS Antietam (CG 54), the guided-missile destroyers USS O’Kane (DDG-77) and USS Preble (DDG 88) and the fast combat-support ship USNS Bridge (T-AOE 10).
----------The USS Enterprise Carrier Strike Group (CSG) commenced operations in the Persian Gulf Aug. 10, where they are currently deployed to support Maritime Security Operations (MSO) as well as Operations Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Enduring Freedom. More than 6,500 Sailors and Marines are assigned to each Carrier Strike Group.
[link to www.news.navy.mil]
----------Each carrier group automatically comes with a USMC Battalion Landing Team of nearly 2,000 Marines stationed on an LHA, or LHD (a small VSTOL carrier), and one or two submarines
----------The primary missions of the submarines (SSGN) will be land attack and Special Operations Forces (SOF) insertion and support. Secondary missions will be the traditional attack submarine missions of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), battle space preparation, and sea control.
----------These submarines are EACH armed with up to 154 Tomahawk® or Tactical Tomahawk® land attack, Nuclear Capable missiles. They will have the ability to carry and support a team of 66 SOF personnel for up to 90 days at a time.
----------Additionally, the US base on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean is capable of housing, resupply, and refueling B-52's which can each launch up to 20 cruise missiles or drop 70,000 lbs of mixed ordinance. B-1 bombers are also based here.

NOTE: I had to take all but a couple of the links out so the GLP SpamBot wouldn't kick Me off. AGAIN. If you want to know my sources for this info, drop me a line, or just reply here. BP

Senate Urges Bush to Attack Iran
Posted September 27, 2007 | 06:51 PM (EST)

Yesterday, Democratic Senators Hillary Clinton (NY), Chuck Schumer (NY), Bob Menendez (NJ), Barbara Mikulski (MD), and Ben Cardin (MD) all voted in favor of the "Kyl-Lieberman Iran Amendment." This piece of legislation actually encourages the practitioner of cowboy diplomacy, George W. Bush, to be even more belligerent in his foreign policy. The Kyl-Lieberman Amendment passed by a vote of 76 to 22. Chris Dodd and Joe Biden voted against it, and Barack Obama missed the vote.

The amendment states: "The United State should designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as a foreign terrorist organization . . . and place the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps on the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists."

Kyl-Lieberman is the first step in providing Congressional legitimacy for military action against Iran. The 76 to 22 vote, which also had the support of Majority Leader Harry Reid, codifies U.S. Iran policy and comes very close to sounding like a declaration of war. Designating a four decades old military branch of a sovereign state a "foreign terrorist organization" is an extreme step that is only necessary or useful if there are plans "on the table" to do something about it.

The U.S. troops in Iraq are not considered "foreign." The U.S. calls those Iraqis who are resisting occupation "terrorists." Now a segment of the Iranian armed forces is being labeled a terrorist organization. Such a step is tantamount to a foreign government designating the U.S. Marines a "foreign terrorist organization."

The Democratic Senate is playing right into the hands of those neo-cons and crazies who think a military strike against Iran will improve the situation in the Middle East. On the contrary, it will magnify the current disaster in Iraq tenfold.

If the Senate and the Neo-Cons convince Bush to strike Iran they will be sparking a real war with a nation that can fight back. With its 70 million people, high literacy rate, key geographic location, level of economic development, and its control of a significant share of the world's oil production, Iran is a nation that could cause quite a stir if Bush is dim-witted enough to go down that terrible road.

I can envision a scenario where the United States launches a sustained set of air raids against most of the infrastructure of Iran, specifically targeting the "nuclear facilities" that are widely dispersed throughout the country. The Democrats in Congress will be jumping through hoops like well-trained circus dogs as they vote for resolutions and give speeches validating the aggression. And then we're off to the races in another illegal war against a nation that has not attacked us.

Iran accounts for about 4 percent of the world's daily oil production, and will surely shut off the spigots if it is attacked sending the price of oil skyward. (Iran's ally Venezuela might follow suit.) Petroleum analysts estimate that the world runs only about a 2 percent excess capacity of oil production, which could mean an instant drop to a negative world supply if Iran chooses to stop pumping. This reduction in output alone could wreak havoc with global energy markets.

Iran might also take the step of disrupting the oil production of neighboring Gulf States through missile attacks on their oil infrastructure and sabotage. The world production of oil could then drop to a negative 10 percent or more, and the price could shoot up even higher. The American people, who consume more oil per capita than any people on earth, will be waiting in long lines to fill up our tanks as we did during the Iranian revolution in 1978-79. Ordinary Americans don't only get the privilege of paying for the costs of the missiles and ordnance Bush will throw at Iran, but we also get the honor of paying triple the amount for a gallon of gas while we are queued up at the pump.

The Iranian silkworm missiles, supplied by China, (which recently signed a $100 billion oil and gas deal with Iran), will rip through the shipping of the Persian Gulf. Explosions of undetermined origin will rake through the oil platforms and infrastructure of the Gulf States. Iraq's civil war will reach a new intensity. And bombs will go off throughout the region wreaking havoc with the smooth transport of oil.

The Iranians and their allies in the Gulf will cause trouble in the Straights of Hormuz where 40 percent of the world's oil passes. They will turn the Gulf into a garbage dump of damaged ships and flaming oil dereks. Russia and China will supply arms to Iran and the conflict will continue, like Iraq, for as long as the United States tries to impose its will on the region through brute force.

They will also probably have agents blow up U.S. embassies and other targets all over the world. The war will be the most destabilizing the Persian Gulf has ever seen.
Compounded with the financial strains of the $600 billion Iraq occupation, the new war with Iran will run the risk of bankrupting the United States. China might cash in some of its $1 trillion in U.S. treasury bonds and exchange them for Euros. The value of the dollar could then be suddenly devalued. The life savings of millions of Americans could be threatened as the dollar tanks, and interest rates shoot up when the central banks try to entice foreigners' to hang on to their dollars to stop the hemorrhaging. And this devaluing of the dollar could occur in an environment of hyperinflation because the high price of oil will drive up the costs of everything.

So let's not let those narrow interests who seek another wider war in the Middle East prevail.

Now, on topic. You have roughly 20 hours for this to come true. I wager that it doesn't. Remember that Russia still has the largest nuke arsenal (last I knew) and were somewhat aligned with Iran. I know that shrub is stupid, but not everybody in his circle is...we launch, so does everybody else.

As a reporter in real life, if I post something, I WILL have the facts to back it up.

BTW - I Wrote every word of that post except for the composition of the Carrier Strike Groups which I got from Navy.mil. You see, unlike SOME, I actually make a nice living with my journalistic endeavors.

Re: BREAKING==WWIII - Iran 2B NUKED This Month==BREAKING

BP

It has come to my attention in the past few days, and I'm not telling the Iranians anything they don't already know, that the U.S. Army's 5th Special Forces and the Marine Corps Force Recon Battalion are operating inside that country marking targets, gathering intel, and sabotaging internal comms.

May God be with those boys and with The United States of America.
