CRAP IS HITTING THE FAN ON THE PACIFIC COAST. OAKLAND, Calif. -- A noon-time bomb threat shut down the busy Southwest Terminal at Oakland International Airport Monday, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of passengers and causing flight delays. Alameda County Sheriff's Department Sgt. J.D. Nelson said the airport received three calls containing threats over "a short space of time." Baggage was removed to a runway area where the bags were lined up on the ground and dogs searched them. Authorities had closed all roads leading into the airport complex -- the West Coast hub for Southwest -- and passengers were hustle out into the parking lot. There was no word when the busy Terminal 2 area would be re-opened to passengers. There were no other details immediately available. Copyright 2007 by KTVU.com. All rights reserved.
