Sadly, many do not realise that the believers are not those that believe in God but those that believe in a reality beyond the earthly and material one. Without believing in the spiritual dimensions and realities one can never come to know God so one cannot have one without the other.
Many religious people do not embrace spiritual realities/mysticism, as such they are unbelievers in the true sense of word.

In Judaism, it is the Shekhinah and it is on Shabat the Shekhina is meant to rise to meet her husband the Spirit of God, which is why you are asked to rest and be one in communion with God. Some say that Shekhinah is the eye of God e.g. the third eye.
The soul plays a crucial role in the rising of consciousness and the ascent of the Tree of Life. It is the lamp that lights the way to your own purification, when one completely surrenders human will. Some say in Hinduism it is the kundalini rising through the gateways.

In Hebrew teshuvah means 'return' it is sometimes translated as 'repentance'.
The only way people can return to God is through love and choosing to surrender human will and allow divine will to guide you. The Spirit of God can only communicate with the Soul, for they are the lover and the beloved. The will of the child is often crushed in childhood and so people have trouble hearing the soul.

Some religious leaders have done terrible things to the people down the ages, and no Abrahamic religion that exists can say that they haven't, if they did they would be liars. On the 9th September 2007 = 999, was the end of the cycle, and the beginning of the end of religious control and domination of the people.
You will witness in the coming years the decline of religion.The people will choose to become a purer soul and claim their divine birthright of Spiritual Independence. if there is ever a new world religion it will be the religion of experience.
