To my way of thinking, titles of nobility include:

Sir / KBE
Prince
Marquis
Baron
Earl
Duke
Duchess

But not Doctor.

Amendment 13 - Slavery Abolished. Ratified 12/6/1865. History

1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Could this be a strategy to clear out congress? All those within the TPTB congress that have these titles would be removed, allowing for a new congress that would be voted in under a Ron Paul Gov't.

Who said Doctor was a title of nobility? Doctor is just a title, and Esquire is neither a title nor a title of nobility.

A title of nobility is a prefix before your name indicating membership in, or trusted status with a hereditary crime family, also known as royalty. Such prefixes include Count, Sir, King, Duke, and so on.

Dr. is a professional title that has nothing to do with hereditary crime families.

yes, i agree and thank you hf
people are nuts. i'm just an honest person trying to find some information because *someone* sent us on a wild goose chase. so i post the info to get some opinions and maybe some more info pertaining to the subject and rather than discussing it many just talk shit. am i supposed to just sit here and not think it through because i dont like the possible outcome being presented? i thought the questions being asked were 100% necessary. i'm glad we came to a conclusion. i thank the people who took the time to get to the bottom of this.

anyone watching the debates last night may have caught paul slamming the medical and pharmacutical corporations, and the AMA, which he is a member of, and what all of this is related to, when he was asked a question regarding health care. he screamed it too - the letters AMA.
i dont remember his exact words, but they were good and right on.

The Titles of Nobility Amendment was not ratified so it doesn't apply to Ron Paul or any other candidate. If you shills wanna pass the 13th Amendment, you will have a case against Ron Paul.

It was ratified. Do your research. For reasons unbeknownst to the states, Congress had a serious problem with it. Not legal a problem, but a personal problem. They couldn't make everyone a citizen of the United States if it was defined as an elected officer.

Since the disappearing act of the original 13th, everyone is now a citizen of the United States. Mission accomplished.

If you are a citizen of the United States, you are under the jurisdiction of Congress, which means most of their laws apply to you. It's all "presumed" of course until proven otherwise. How are you going to prove otherwise without a 13th amendment?

The original 13th was published in the session laws of all the states and teritories up until about 1845! The at-torn-eys could not do what they do now if it was allowed to remain! Any time ones sees "congress shall have power" they are refering to the district of columbia, teritories, forts, magazines, dockyards, other needful places. For an act of congress to apply to the states of the Union, said act must be ratified by 3/4s of the said states.

Dr. is not a title of nobility.
Where there hell did you get that from OP?
Doctor is professional title, like Colonel, Captain and Mr. President.
Titles of nobility are such as Sir or Lord.

Attention all idiots - the title, doctor, is NOT a title of nobility - it is a title of profession. A title of nobility would be "prince," "sir," etc.

Citizenship is automatically forfeited.(?) It is LOST if any "citizen of the Untied States" (i.e., Elected Officer) fails to get the consent of Congress before accepting presents, emoluments, Office or Title from any King, Prince, foreign State, etc.(this is also for any USofA citizen) The 13th amendment is the provides the punishment, which is loss of citizenship.
As i know it congress has to take away your citizenship but most times they do not. But with a title from other country you can not hold office!
if a title was given to you from within the USofA by a school or club it would be ok as it comes from this country.
The Goverment has given the AOK on these titles!
this is funny as the law says no female can hold office of Pres.. It says a man can hold office. as for color it never states anything on this.

Why is paul doing this if he obviously knows about the amendment because he's "the champion of the constitution."??

we also need more info in regards to him getting his title of DR of medicine from the queen.
any info on this, please post.
someone on the first page said paul has addressed the 13th amendment issue in the past - i have not seen this - can anyone help locate this?

University titles, such as PHD (Doctor)
originate with the Royal Societies in London,
such as Medicine, Engineering, etc.

They are part of the Vatican's Holy Roman Empire
control mechanism. It allows the Vatican, through
the Jesuits, and other 'thug' control organizations,
to control the 'intellegencia' by threat of
suspension or removal of credentials, thus
removing the right to make a living at a chosen
profession if they do not comply with Vatican
policy.

I personally know of a mining engineer who
just lost his engineer certification because
he was doing a good job in developing a mine
that the Big Boys wanted to confiscate, but
could not find a way to do it in their usual
claim jumping tactics, as it was not on the
stock market, and was being financed by
private investors out of their control.

I'm sure Ron Paul could give a rat's ass
if the Royal Medical Society pulled his PHD,
and thus his license to practise medicine,
at least it wouldn't threaten his economic
lifestyle. 'Mister President' would be a grand title.

Why not revoke the whole thing, titles and honorifics are cool.

I remember how after, Václav Havel was elected president of Czechoslovakia in 1989, he asked Frank Zappa to take a position in the ministry of culture we Americans kicked poor ole Frank out of the US of A so fast it made his head swim. But then Frank Zappa enjoyed the worphip and admiration of the Czechoslavakian tasteless peasants.

Re: The 13th Amendment forbids Titles of Nobility - Why is DR. Ron Paul silently challending this hidden amendment?
Two points that may or may not have been covered, I dont have time to read through this entire non issue thread.

"Doctor" is not a title of nobility or honor like duke or knight, and niether does it make the bearer subserviant to a forign government. The drafters of the 13th amendment were simply trying to prevent foriegn influence over the affairs of the American government, not exclude doctors from serving in public office. That ascertion is RETARDED. Most of our Presidents have been members of the BAR, lawyers that is, and I would think that should be more of a concern since 'BAR' stands for 'british aristocracy rule'.

2) the 13th Amendment concerning titles of nobility was never ratified, and is therfor a non issue. I think it should be, because then we could eliminate BAR rule.
