kits User ID: 261878 United States 10/21/2007 04:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Incidents such as this are baffling to me. It would be incredibly easy for an individual to build an improvised explosive device such as the ordinance used in this situation, and detonate said device at a location and time certain to cause maximum damage and causalities to the intended target(s). It's simply all-too easy to 'get it right.' So I ask, why is it that nobody 'goes for the gold' in such things? There's so many dissidents, psychotics and generally angry people, yet seldom does even something such as this happen. Then, when it does happen, the 'master-mind' behind the incident blunders, and fails to afflict much if any damage and/or causalities. It's as though everyone is either apathetic or incompetent. There's several billion on this planet, and nobody can get it right. Unbelievable. What this makes me wonder is, are the ramifications of this situations blunders as they appear to be, or was this executed exactly as planned? Either more casualties/destruction was the result than is reported, or this was merely a message, or warning. AIM:kits56fa2 |

Maybe people are just big shit-talkers and talk a big game about vengeance and mass death and destruction, but then when they get the chance to actually do it, they find they're not as gungho as they thought they were and don't actually have the stomach for it? . Crumbling world falls through my hands — In my mouth taste bitter sands — Grass is burning, pulse is slow — Drip by drip my backwards growth — crawl… [link to www.youtube.com] |

Without a military or war, what would all of the cocky gun-lovers do? Well, what happened in Iraq after their military was disbanded? They became the insurgents, did they not? So imagine that the United States 'lays off' all military personnel tomorrow. Who're they gonna fight? Where are they gonna get their jollies? Well...how many ex-soldiers do we see protesting wars and our government? I'm thinking there would be a lot of military trained kids shooting at cops, a lot of sappers leveling the homes of their bosses while they're in them, a lot of sharp-shooters neutralizing congressmen, a lot of private single engine aircraft flying over government buildings, dropping explosive ordinance out of the window, things of that sort. Right now all of the warriors of the planet are busy fighting each-other. If you strip them of their uniforms, their pride, and their enemies - well who do you think will become their new enemy? So in other words: All of those who *would* commit a successful terror operation in the US, are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. Brilliant, eh? But yeah, there too are a lot of big talkers who do nothing for various reasons, be it cowardice, incompetence, or whatever. Sorta like, a few months ago I created a thread outlining the basics of who the actual enemies are, what they *really* have done, how much better the world would be without them, and gave an idea of how to begin a change - gave a workable plan. Was curious to see if anyone would respond, and if so, what would they say. Nobody responded, and since then, nobody has taken any sort of action such as what I've suggested. So, big talkers, no bite. CurrentResident: Works for me, they even have a little video up now, and a picture. AIM:kits56fa2 |
