I know I should've expected people to expand on this topic and follow up w/comments but I was unprepared to count the votes in this tedious manner. So again, here is the NEW tally. 1:21PM New count: A+ ........19 A- ........ 4 B+ ........ 5 B- ........ 5 AB+ ........ 5 AB- .........3 O+ ........ 20 O- ........ 18 |

| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 271268 10/28/2007 01:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your blood type is determined genetically and your genetics do not change during your life time. Type O is recessive, so for a person to be that type he/she had to inhert "O" from both parents. Although the mother type is B, her "genotype" is really BB or BO but since B is dominant that is what shows up in the blood type test. The type A father would be AA or AO. (A, like B, being dominant over O) In this scenario, for the child to be type O (really OO)the mother had to be BO, the father AO, and the child inherited an O from each parent. A and B are not dominant over each other, so if the child inherited the A from one parent and the B from the other, the child's type would be AB. The + and -, which is the RH type, is inherited independently from the ABO blood types. The above parents could have had an O- child as well (as well as B+ or B-, A+ or A-,AB+ or AB -) |

Do chickens have blood types since they get left alone? What about horses since they leave them alone. I read in emergencies you can give humans, cows blood for transfusions safely. What blood type are monkeys or dolphins? |

[link to aquarianmysteries.com] and all kinds of "trippy" info in the articles. Like this bit here: ** THE PUREST BLOOD TYPE IS O NEGATIVE THE MOST 'unpure' BLOOD IS AB POSITIVE ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted Monday, Mar. 18, 1985 There is no coat of arms on the flask, but somewhere in one of Britain's hospitals a convalescent patient has some of the world's most exclusive blood flowing through his or her veins. The regal donor of the precious stuff was Prince Charles, 36, who has become the first member of the royal family ever to give blood, in his case, O Rh-negative. The unprecedented puncturing of royalty was to reassure Britons after a nationwide scare about AIDS caused a drop in donations. At the North London Transfusion Center, the Prince was asked whether he was homosexual, injected drugs into his veins or had had sex with anyone in those two groups. After those regulation indignities (and his negative answers), he had an apprehensive question of his own: "Is it going to hurt?" When the pint was finally drawn, Charles pretended to apologize because his blood was not blue: "I'm afraid it's red like anyone else's." Fancy that. ** |

I am not certain of those who respondeded have indeed had encounters or a deep interest in this phenomenon but here's what the final count says in this forum: A+ ........21 A- ........ 4 B+ ........ 5 B- ........ 5 AB+ ........ 6 AB- .........3 O+ ........ 20 O- ........ 21 RH- negative = 33 RH+ positive = 52 ************************************************************ Rh-Negatives are RARE. Strangely.... a person with type O negative blood is considered to be a "Universal Donor". It means his or her blood can be given to anyone, regardless of blood type, without causing a transfusion reaction. The Rh-Negatives Factor is considered a "Mutation" of "Unknown Origin", which happened in Europe, about 25,000-35,000 years ago. Then this group spread into the area of what is now Spain, England, Ireland, etc. People with RH-negative blood group have certain characteristics that seem to be common among the majority. Here is a brief list of the most common. 1. Predominance of green or hazel eyes that change color like a chameleon, but also blue eyes 2. True red or reddish hair 3. Low pulse rate 4. Low blood pressure 5. Keen sight or hearing 6. ESP 7. Extra rib or vertabrae 8. UFO connections 9. Love of space and science 10. A sense of not belonging to the human race 11. Piercing eyes 12. Para-normal occurrences 13. Physic dreams 14. truth seekers 15. Desire for higher wisdom 16. Empathetic illnesses 17. Deep compassion for fate of mankind 18. A sense of a 'mission' in life 19. Physic abilities 20. Unexplained scars on body 21. Capability to disrupt electrical appliances 22. Alien contacts |
