Sorry, but Dil makes some very good points too. The rules here aren't always clear, sometimes change over time.
Maybe he wasn't the best mod, but i think 99 % of Dil's posts are positive and informative (and sometimes woowoo)
I am suprised you guys always jump on him. He is one of the more positive people on here, admits mistakes, and is a woowoo. I like him.

He wasn't the only one who what upset by some of that characters postings. Some of the writings were amusing, but for example the level 4 cancer posts were more than distasteful.
I can see why people don't/didn't like Kevin. His posts seemed to aim to annoy/upset people.
And iirc GLP was like that a few years ago. Everybody calling each other out, and trying to slander/libel/insult each other just because something about the other irritated someone...
GLP has changed over time. In a good way imo. And still seems to be changing. This thread is about personal attacks. It's weird to see people jump on a guy on such a thread.

Really you can't get much clearer than "threads made to specifically attack another poster aren't allowed". Convolution that to: "you better change the rule into 'don't ever mention a poster in the OP to show him you have another opinion than he has" is really pretty typical. Dil has zero idea what the post said in it and yet has the ability to make the decision and rant on about a decision he know little to nothing about.
Honestly I have never heard him say he is wrong ever and this thread typifies that. People who interject cluelessly always get jumped on here and that is nothing new. However there are some that do that again and again and again and do not seem to learn from it, or like the attention as in Dil's case.
As far as the rules being clear, there are few that are, that is why the moderators use their own discretion. In this case of the OP, it was used soundly.

That's actually a very sensible policy, if indeed it IS policy. Seems to me that policy works for everyone.
GLP really has entered a new phase though, where all the moderators band together at the first sign of criticism. It has a vaguely oppressive feel to it.
Last year there was a situation where moderators deleted and banned anyone that conflicted with their own beliefs, but they appeared to be doing it independently of each other.
This year is different. Criticize an action committed by a moderator, and the other three mods rush in to back him, as well as two or three mouth-breeder anonymous sycophants trying to ingratiate themselves to staff by sucking them. It just looks like shit. Much better the way you did it, simply stating policy and that's the end of it.
Personally I'm always dismayed to see SRH with his wanna-be tuff ass avatar invite himself into every conflict thread that doesn't concern him. It's like "Oh HEEEEERE we go again, let's see what nuggets of wiz-DUMB captain butt-inski has to say NOW.

If I thought there was any intention whatsoever at all to make things clear, trust me it wouldn't be annoying. I know exactly what Dil is all about, and making things clear and not creating conflict is the farthest thing from his intentions.
