Only Me Strawberry Girl User ID: 327049 United States 12/10/2007 12:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You should at least have an EKG done if it continues, just to be sure. It most likely is anxiety/depression. The fact that you aren't sleeping well is another symptom of it. If that's the case, I suggest a book called Mind over Matter by Dennis Greenberger and Christine Padesky. Review "What are you struggling with in your life? What patterns in thinking have held you trapped over the years? How can you develop and automatize a new way of seeing things that helps get you out of ruts you have maintained over the years? Drs. Padesky and Greenberger give you practice in learning how to make sense of your moods, to identify your own irrational thinking and to base your thinking fully on facts. They even give you a means to challenge old thinking patterns that you developed as a child. I saw Dr. Padesky demonstrate these skills at a cognitive therapy conference. I walked away very impressed with her warm, sincere, knowledgeable, creative and rational approach to helping people change. I am delighted to recommend this workbook."--Ellen Kenner, PhD, clinical psychologist and host of The RATIONAL Basis of Happiness, a nationally syndicated radio talk show. It is a lesson book with worksheets. It takes a lot of concentration to get through the book, because it teaches you how to identify your true feelings in different situations and you have to decide what you are thinking that causes the emotional/physical reaction. Then it teaches you how to change the way you think so that you don't continue to have those reactions. It's an excellent tool for not only depression, but addiction too. Try it. Amazon.com has it for around $8-10 used. Or your local bookstore can order it if they don't already have it in stock. Good luck. Goodbye, halcyon days... There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

You may be suffering from congestive heart failure and may need a pacemaker. Don't wait until your heart gets so tired it stops the way mine did. All the soaks and alternative medicine won't help you, you must get to a cardiologist. If you begin to see your lips ringed in blue, if the blood vessels in your hands seem to disappear, your heart is not pumping the way it should. Tiredness is one of the first symptoms. |
