You also have to go counter-clockwise or subtract about 10-12 degrees depending on your longitude of your location from true North to adjust for true north vs magnetic north.

No, if the sun changed luminosity by a significant percent we'd all be dead.
Luminosity has nothing to DO with it..
Its the UV thats increasing. The "Heat" of the sun is the same. Its just putting out more ultraviolet than it used to. Thats why its is not "yellow" anymore..its now as bright as a welders arc.
I remeber back in 1985 being able to look at the sun for short moments..and it was "yellow"...NOW...its got a flash like an arc..bright and unbearable.
But most of the fucktards on here DONT know this because MOST of you were not BORN in 1985..or were very young.
I have been studying the sun and planets all my life..I NOTICE these things. I was brought up looking at the skies. I notice when things change..I also know what things pertend and mean.

I checked the azimuth for the Solstice.. 248.
It was 242-244 a couple of weeks ago. That is further south than the solstice's furthest point On Dec 21. |

Holy Cow. You are saying EXACTLY what I have been thinking for the past couple of days now. I even posted about it on another forum a few days ago too.
I was a little kid in the 80's and played outside a lot. I remember being able to look at the sun in the sky for just a few seconds and that it was a true "yellow" color, almost like dandelions. I knew it was bad to look at the sun, but I would still try to.
Now two decades later, I've been walking to work everyday for over a year now and I don't remember the last time I really tried to "look" at the sun. For some reason I tried it last week and it was so blindingly white. It's so bright and so white it's unbearable to get your eyes even close. |
