letting cats hunt outside is NOT a good idea. Not if you love and value your cat.

An indoor cat can live a life expectancy of 22 years. Given a good diet and decent genetics, most of that 22 years will be a heathy happy life.

An outdoor cat has a statistically average life expectancy of 2.3 years in a city and less in the country where there are animal predators nearby who are all too willing to see your kitty as lunch or a tasty snack.

KEEP YOUR CATS INDOORS and feed them a high quality diet preferably a good high protein dry food and supplement it with a can or two of high quality wet food once or twice per week. It is easy and you will have your feline companion with you for a much longer time than you would if you let them out.

Scooping out a cat box once a day is a small price to pay for their safety and having that love they give you for a third of your life!
