I, too, would like to get to "the bottom" of this theory because I think the whole 2012 year was made up to keep us focused elsewhere, while the real 2012 is actually this year. I'd read some time back that the shift in consciousness would happen when there was a galactic line up with the center of the milky way galaxy. I would think that would cause an electromagnetic shift in our bodies - probably jump start some "junk" DNA, IMO.

Trouble is - there's so much freemason garbage out there with the prophecies and religions they started that it's difficult to ferret out the truth - both of what they mean and what's really in store for us that they're trying to hide.

Could be this year..another posters (can't remember who) has done some interesting calendar research pointing to 2032, that the translation was one 20 year cycle off..something like that. Either way DC points to dec this year for something big...

The Sun never stops moving. There is no three-day period when the sun's movement in relation to the earth stops altogether. It may appear to slow for those three days, but since the slowing of the movement is a gradual thing, one could argue that it 'stops' for the one, two, four, five, or six days around the winter solstice as well (it depends on how slow you consider 'stopping'). And besides all of that, Jesus' resurrection happened in the spring, not in December.

This scenario descries a "going out" of the sun as in light switch off, and given the sun is a plasma induction event ala electric universe model, the right currents/cross currents could temporarily shut it down. it doesn't quite matter. we are born with a will that works with divine will and i have reason to believe people who die in bondage to adverse ideology are given 3 days after they are pronounced dead to make their final free choice. i believe the world is changing where we do not have to shed our bodies any more in order to release ourselves from bondage; we will be ascended enough to make higher realm decisions all the time.

Interesting, though they are "prophesy" sites, many of these I've visited talk about a cross in the sky appearing before the "3 days of darkness"

Some thoughts...the "sack-clothe" covering the sun/moon/stars and especially the red color reference suggests to me a large volcanic eruption.

And if the sun does "go out" and it's mag field goes down, I'd imagine the forces keeping the earth's spin/wobble steady would weaken. A wobbling world would look from our perspective like the "heavens" are being shaken.

Certainly the earth would be jolted and shake to readjust but i doubt for the whole 3 days.

I always choose to lean toward the reality of the yearly cosmology story in the sky rather than the humanized rendition of that cosmic story by religion, making the Sun into a Son of God. The human story is a good aid to truth but it is never the real truth.
