Could the planetary alignment on December 23 cause enough disturbance to the Earth's magnetic field for the Poles to flip?
You have the Sun and Jupiter pulling at one side of the earth and Mars and the moon pulling (smaller, but closer) from the other direction. On top of this, the magnetic potential from the sun is under-estimated as most people accept the school room story that the sun is made up of hydrogen etc.
Professor of Nuclear Chemistry, Oliver Manuel asserts that the sun has an iron core with evidence to back it up. His papers are on-line.
With the Earth's magnetic field already weakened, could the alignment be just the little push we need?
The thread i started today is relative to what you are talking about.
The Mass of energy From the GC to the Sun via pluto and the comjunction is going to affect many things IMO.

As far as I can tell from the research I have done over the last couple of days, our solar system is oriented at the same angle the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy is entering the Milky Way galaxy from above, which is between 60-90 degrees. When you view the Milky Way galaxy from here on Earth, the Milky Way band is angled in exactly the same way---at between 60-90 degrees. It seems to me one can only conclude that our solar system is actually a part of the Sagittarius Dwarf system, and we just so happen to be at the current intersecting point of the two galaxies. I don't know how true it is that we have now broken free from the SAG system and will now re-orient ourselves to the Milky Way plane, but this is really intriguing stuff.

This on its own is a miraculous event, An extremely rare occasion. The silence about its even existence is deafening.
There are people who i have spoke with who fact think that this is the misinterpreted story of the bible, related to the 3 days of darkness.
They think the Sun will be on the galactic cross and die and be reborn again after 3 days.
I do think that story is related, however as in the "on earth as it is in heaven" part.
i am not Christian, but i was aghast at the significance of celestial events.
The we have Comet Holmes. They say comets are the harbingers of great change.

We don't know what will happen. But I really don' think it will be bad.
I just think after that date things on earth will really start to change. Change in a good way.
Few more days left. If it's anything like in my dreams then it will blow you guys away. But if it's not it will be a great day none the less.
