Its ones similar to this that are about every 26,000 years and exactly like this is every 101,000 years approx.
Yup. 1 out of every 4 orbits around the galactic center produces this alignment. So, out of the planets 5 Billion year history, this "phenomenon" has occured roughly 5,000 times.

Do you guys know that the galactic center is HUGE,(400- by 900-light-year's huge ) not a needle's eye, we align with it twice every year in the winter solstice and in the summer solstice, the fact that pluto comes into this equation means? Absolutely nothing! Maybe MJ "IS" onto something here, but everyone else jumping on the bandwagon pitching in their dooms-day idea's isn't very helpful, (I know MJ said this wasn't a doomsday thread) The sun's doing what the sun always does, and you can't use seismic activity to strengthen your claims, it's sporadic. |

Earthquakes occur without the aid of grand conjunctions. There are less earthquakes today than yesterday.
Pluto is irrelevant - it is virtually a ball of ice.
Nothing is shafting me up the ass. Galactic crosses are of manmade significance only. Perhaps someone could explain the physics involved in such an idea? |

Thanks AC. I'm afraid that your reply doesn't actually answer the question though. I don't deny that the Maya were extraordinary and managed to calculate an amazing calender - but so what? If the Maya were around at the last conjunction then evidently it's nothing to worry about because they survived it. If they weren't around then, to ascribe a disaster to a conjunction is just a fantasy.
If in 1999 during the total eclipse there was an earthquake, it wouldn't make sense to assume it was due to the eclipse. Similarly to conclude that a grand conjunction and/or galactic cross means anything has no basis. At all.
Can anyone provide a scientific reason why this combination of planets in the predicted position should have any natural effect on the earth?
I don't doubt the superstitious people, like the obviously many on here, might time try and time their manmade disasters according to astrology, but that just highlights why this kind of hocus-pocus is so dangerous |
