just got back from the new national treasure movie.
a few symbolic things i noticed, and please anyone who has seen it please feel free to add to the list:
They search for the ancient city of gold
Lots of water/flooding in this movie, they must go down a water door/tunnel (water doors are an alternative name for stargates)
Water tunnel with light at the end
Ancient city found on sacred native lands
The mother of Benjamin Gates says at the end "now we will be able to decipher language and history from the pre-columbian era", implying that it has been hidden from us as it has
THe city of gold is underground and on the ceiling is a triangle, symbolic that it is hidden by the illuminati
book of secrets is ironic as is discloses area 51 and JFK assasination and the the character Riley says its real, how ironic?

I love the breakdown of National Treasure 2 even though I haven't seen it. I did not know the character's name was Benjamin Gates. This is very interesting to me! There is a Christian rock band called "The Benjamin Gate". I'm not really your average "Christian" anymore but I loved this band. They had two albums before the girl singer married some other Christian artist, her voice is absolutely amazing. They named the band after their friend Benjamin who had died in a car crash.
