Quoting: Anonymous Coward 335274If North is at our heads then the head should be southwards to align with the Earth's field. (N-S-N-S) Actually by your reckoning we should all sleep aligned with the magnetic dip which I don't think most folk would find comfortable. In reality most folk prefer to sleep orientated the same way they were laid in the crib whilst a baby |

If you align with the flow, you are in more of a natural state. The energy flows through you and helps align the needed indoc glands. (some call them chakras) I could tell you all of the perks, but trying it yourself is better as you actually understand. Try it for a week, you will see. This will also help prevent you from getting sick as often. |

Maybe you should spend some time on some medical sites, you will learn our bodies are electrical. Which tells us? Yes, there's magnetism. Magnetism tells you what? Yes, positive and negative. Break it on down you can see there's a specific electrical flow in our body. As it is in the sky. So call bullshit all you wish, you only show you haven't a clue. I've always been more comfortable with hy head at north. South and east are disorienting and heavy. West isn't too bad, but it makes me feel vulnerable.. to something. But now that you mention the crib thing - I started out with head to north. My bed was always against the north wall. Interesting. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 335274 United States 12/04/2007 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Polarity; In physics, all magnets have two poles that are distinguished by the direction of the magnetic flux. In principle these poles could be labelled in any way; for example, as "+" and "−", or "A" and "B". However, based on the early use of magnets in compasses they were named the "north pole" and the "south pole", with the north pole being the pole that pointed north. When it was later understood that opposite poles attract, a terminological dilemma arose: the Earth's North Magnetic Pole and the pole of the magnet that was attracted to it could not have the same polarity. By convention, the "north pole" of a magnet remained defined as the one attracted to the Earth's North Magnetic Pole,[1] and by this definition the Earth's North Magnetic Pole is physically a magnetic south pole. Conversely, the Earth's South Magnetic Pole is physically a magnetic north pole. |

Assuming of course, that the baby is delivered head first. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 252372......Odd but this subject has been on my mind lately...I sleep head facing east when I'm home, but head facing south when I'm at my girlfriends place, which is about half the time..I dream much better at home..but feel less energy when I get up...seems to be a pattern....And I always think about the direction of my bed when I sleep elsewhere..Just odd that I would even worry about that...It seems like there is some knowledge I used to have but forgotten....I think I'll try North...at home anyway...my girlfriend already thinks I'm nuts..... |

The magnetical flow is the same, feet towards true south, head towards true north. i mean, do the earths magnetic lines harmonize better with the body, if for example sleeping head towards the north?? any info or links are welcome! The body is indeed an electrical biochemical machine. As has been stated elsewhere in this thread, the most logical positioning of the head is towards the magnetic south pole while sleeping (the polar south), due to the magnetic attraction of the body's north pole (i.e. the head) to the magnetic south pole, and the feet pointing towards magnetic north. (magnetic north is different from true north and grid north) An interesting experiment is to take a bar magnet and float it on a plastic dish on water. It will slowly turn round until the magnets south pole aligns with the earth's magnetic north, and the north pole with magnetic south. Theoretically, the same would happen if we were to float our body in a floatarium. The body should slowly rotate till the head aligned with magnetic south, and the feet toward magnetic north. Some people report more vivid dreams and better/restful sleep with the head pointing south. Another interesting fact is that during the full-moon and the new-moon, the earth's geomagnetic field is disturbed less, due to the moon shielding us from the sun's solar radiation (new moon), or apparently amplifying the field (the full-moon). Clairvoyance is apparently best a few days either side of this period, as well as gamblers largest payouts are statistically highest around the new or fullmoon. It appears to be at its worst one week after the new moon or full moon, when the shielding effect of the moon against the sun is at its least. |
