It's silly that OP was right about the economic collapse. I guess I should add the fact that the Euro is now the leading world currency. No one was surprised though...except for us of course.

I don't know, one of the things that scare me most is the murder of culture (in the USA, and broadcasted everywhere else).
I certainly don't hate Americans, there are some people from America I sure am grateful for : Woody Allen, Michael Moore, Bob Dylan...
But still, I really am afraid. All these videoclips and MTVesque crap selling us : Be sexy (regarding our american norms, o'course), be STUPID (oh, isn't this interesting, Diesel's punchline), everything will be OK.
If you add reality TV, it's not long before Culture reaches the toilet's depths.
On the other hand there's GREAT stuff coming from the USA (which will be regarded as classic in the future, I'm sure) : the LOST series, Breaking Bad series. But these things are ponctual, it happens once in a while on the timeline, whereas the other crap is "industrialized", it happens everyday - on your TV, in your theaters, in the everyday life.
I don't want to get sucked by this way of life. I don't. It was not my education to be fed by a constant stream of information (even though it's bullshit) just because it's somewhat "familiar" and so easy and comfortable to get and process.
I was raised to get on my little feet as a boy and try fetching a book on our library's shelves at home.
The terrible thing is I think that, and I'm not even 25. It's harder and harder to find people around this age who love making their brains work and not just sit on a sofa and watch whatever their favorite network has chosen to broadcast and watch ONLY THAT. People able to debate. People that know it's not an artists' booty that makes "good music".
And I dare say, if not entirely responsible, America (and its culture, and its ways, etc.) surely has a lot of responsibility there.

First of all if the US economy crashes, which it won't; it will pull everyone else down with it.
