That tottaly does not look like the other image displayed in the media of him. His glasses dont look black, they look silvery! His face looks puffy! He looks kind of asian or chinese? WTF?
Nope definantly NOT him.
Golly...That pic from the yearbook 3 years ago looks different than the pic from the mall?

Did you guys know that a friend of the shooter who was interviewed on the television after the shooting was arrested last evening for making terroristic threats. He was taken along with three shotguns out of his home and was locked up. The reason given seemed rather vague. Also there is no doubt that Robbie did the shooting. He entered the Mall once and was reportedly felt by the security guards to be acting suspiciously. He then left the Mall presumably to go to his car and came back in with something wrapped in a Hoodie. Why he wasn't stopped and questioned by the security guards the first time is beyond me. He left 2 suicide notes and a will leaving his green jeep cherokee to his family. I really wonder how he had such a nice vehicle. He was in all kinds of trouble, had been made a ward of the State and had been hospitalized on a psych ward twice. He was depressed and on antidepressents he had lost his job and his girlfriend but despite all this he had a lot of friends and a loving home provided by the mother of his friends.He had passed the GED after dropping out of HighSchool. His old principal said that he never would have believed that this boy was capable of such a thing. None of this really makes sense as many poeple have awful problems but they don't go to the gift wrapping dept at Von Maurs and kill people. I would agree that the picture didn't look like the ones on TV. An eyewitness described the shooter as being really tall. i don't think we have the whole story but the piece by Sorcha Faal was to my mind way off base. My husband who is 77 years old and pretty savvy is sure there is something more to this but maybe it was just insanity coupled with a wrong choice of antidepressant in a kid who was drinking and doing drugs. Hopefully we will find out more in days to come. I do live in Omaha so have seen a lot of coverage indeed the coverage WAS NON STOP FOR HOURS ON THE DAY OF THE SHOOTING. It was just like the 9-11 and Oklahoma city coverage though on a SLIGHTLY LESSER SCALE. |

To qualify as Libel OR Slander the following conditions must be met.
1. The information given must be intended to defame or harm the person it is given about.
2. The information must be false.
3. The audience of the information must be reasonably thought to be important in regards to doing harm to the person if they believe the incorrect information.
So, I don't think that this qualifies legally as Libel here.
Why? (Because it is clear you are upset, and therefor hurt by this right?)
A. The information given was all true. Your name was given, and it was the correct name, without false identification.
B. While the link drawn proved to be incorrect, there is not way any reasonable person could have shown it was incorrect any earlier than was done. Once proved incorrect, the link was severed instantly. (Trinity stopped asking if you were the shooter as soon as you replied.)
C. There is no long term harm from this event in regards to your reputation or monetary situation. While it may have caused you honest anger and mental upset, it cannot be shown by the evidence that this was the intent of the posts or thread.
D. Most libel and Slander cases fail because it is impossible to prove or disprove some things in court. Many cases have been given in which someone called another horrible names publicly, started gossip about them and so on, only to have the court agree that the person saying these awful things believed it at the time, so making it free speech not slander.
*Is it slander to call someone an assh*le? Oddly enough it almost never is. The person saying it just has to believe you qualify for the term. That is the sole test for Slander in most cases.
So, what this means is that it was not Slander or Libel for people wonder if you shot a bunch of people.
If they had kept accusing you once they nknew ofr a fact it was not you (not just heard it wasn't but had undeniable proof) then it would be Libel.
Now, here is the kicker...
Since you now know that it was not Libel, claiming it was IS Libel!
You don't even have to read this for it to be reasonably assumed you would have, so please be careful in what you say. |

I knew TPTB would not like that interview because that kid threw a monkey wrench in the story. I thought it was a great interview and the kid was well spoken |

There are skiled propagandists with degrees in psychology who know exactly what theyre doing working here on this forum.
