Sheer black stockings with a seam up the back...
I've never seen such a reaction from men. Strange men.
Even with a longer skirt, as long as that seam is visible, it works. They'll walk into walls looking back at me.
I don't know why. The garters don't really matter, because they're not visible.
Victoria's Secret carries them with lace tops that don't need garters unless you just want to. |

I once had a girlfriend who was a nurse and wore stockings for comfort whilst working nightshifts. In the morning she'd wake me with a cup of tea whilst still in uniform. A whole lot nicer than an alarm clock. |

An article or two of clothing do not a "SLUT" make.
The women who prefer that "classic" feeling and some great ventilation too (far few yeast infections, problems with unpleasant odor, etc., (when you let some O2 and light get down there once in a while), are NOT by any means "SLUTS".
Now there are a few "ladies" at the office who will do anything to climb the ladder faster - and if that means making sure their boss has "easy access" to them and they choose this style of underwear for THAT purpose - then you may have reason to call them overly ambitious or even a bit overly sexual, but until they're bending over the copier and pulling a daisy chain that goes all the way to Human Relations, you can hardly cast aspersions on their character for their choice of undergarments.
Do men who wear socks or briefs with a pouch built into them become the male equivalent of "sluts" or do they maybe just want some place to park their testicles and penis so they don't slide between their legs and get sat on when they move or change positions? (OUCH!)
... and guys unless you have nuts smaller than an acorn and a penis like a hamster, you've had the problem at one time or another. (See, size is NOT always an advantage - trust me!) <GRIN>

You're absolutely right. Regarding high heel shoes, Medical studies indicate everything that you say is true over the long term. But the question about "Why Don't More Women Wear Garter Belts and Stockings?" isn't one about men vs. women, or labeling it as a male hangup or for that matter a hangup for some women who regard it as a hangup. Fact is, the popularity of lingerie is dressing up for the inclination and mood. It is revealing how people perceive lingerie. |

I've long had a complaint with modern women: their shoes.

I think that is a very intelligent question!!! I would! I think quality ingerie are works of art in the fashion world. There's everything: color, fit, design, materials, texture, image, mood, inclinaiton. It's like a woman's wardrobe that includes a plain black dress with black flat shoes. It can be super plain and yet so alluring! Or a woman can dress up. Or dress down if you pardon the expression.
But back to your question, from some of the responses in this thread it seems to suggest that by expressing an appreciation for lingerie, men are at risk for be accused of something they are not or never intended to be.
I think if men knew that his partner was comfortable with the purpose of lingerie, both partners would be more inclined to experiment together. |
