I always wondered about the connection between 9/11 and the first Die Hard, with the Nakatomi Plaza taken hostage as a smokescreen for robbing it... and the building blowing up at the end.

You're a pretty savvy chap... it's called predictive programming... the criminal, global elite like to brag about what's to come and plant it in movies.

For a precursor to 9/11 watch the first episode of the Lone Gunmen, in which they basically DO 9/11 on that show (diff ending though) six months before it happened. Freaky stuff. Also, the movie Traffic, at the beginning, the crates of drugs all say "911" on the side, the movie "the Long Kiss Goodnight" has some 9/11 references in it, although I aint seen it in awhile and forget the connection. For Montauk/Monarch stuff look no further than Conspiracy Theory, with Mel Gibson, a movie which is strangely enough being run on the HISTORY channel now, which is quite telling.

Another movie that pointed to 9/11 was Independence Day. When David (Jeff Goldblum) gets on Marine 1 to head to Air Force 1, he looks at the timer on his laptop and it read, 9:11.

story smacks of 9/11; however, whatever
was being distracted on 9/11 wasn't
about 3 buildings being hit. I believe
the real story is about what hit them.

alright, I definitely remember the
subway scene.

I remember seeing this at the cinemas in my early teens and can distinctly remember a scene being removed when it hit VHS with the 'sexy' blonde chick using a sickle to cut the throats of the guards in the vault just prior to the baddies removing all the gold. However I believe I may have seen it again since on the DVD version.

There is no doubt some truly bizarre subliminal co-incidences with this movie and 911.

Coincidences that would have seen a hold on release date and most likely more editing if this movie was instead to have been released in late sept. / oct. 2001 (ie, the editing of the WTC towers from Sam Raimi's Spiderman movie to album artwork Dream Theater's Live scenes from new york(still can't get over this one, its mind boggling)).

The story itself like all the die hard movies consists of a hung over Bruno's single-handed destruction of a supremely powerful terrorist group. Like govt. run anti-terror training drills he is always a right place/right time type.

DA:WAV out of all 4(soon to be 5) DH's is the most unique. The way it looks compared to 1,2 and 4 is IMO is a little 'off-balance' and pops more than the other 3 flicks so I agree that pre-programing has been used here.

Now the scene I mention at the top has nothing subliminal about it but I wonder now if there were any other scenes cut from DH:WAV(or other movies, maybe fight club?) when released for people to own at home that were not as subliminal as needed to distribute on a retail level.
