18,000 packs of Kool Filters...time to quit
Yeah, I don't know if it's from the truckload of cigarettes or the swimming pool full of hard liquor, but my husk has been grumbling lately.

Bottom line, if I want my grandkids to know me in this reality then I better quit the smokes and moderate the booze.

Day five and counting.

YIKES!! It's really difficult. I want to personally thank the tobacco companies for their dilligent effort in making these death sticks as addictive as possible...you bastards.

I just smoke 100% pure U.S. grown, additive free, roll your own American Spirit. Maybe 2 a day, but only 20% of each cig...

Feeling like I could move a mountain.

Yeah the machine did us in, spiking these babies up with the ammonnia so we've been basing nicotine for 20+ years...

Interesting, but I think in my case it's gotta be cold turkey. If I feel like I'm going to fail, then there are patches and meds to assist temporarily.

Kinda like Canada with $10 cigs.

People buy the stuff and roll their own.

I say why bother.

Roll up your yard and smoke it.

And then puke a lot.

And then quit smoking.

If I had to debate someone on smoking and I had to be pro-smoke, I'd give up the debate immediately because there are no good points to smoking. No bars, no restaurants, no public facilities, hell many landlords don't want their tennants to smoke. The only two places I felt comfortable with a smoke was my car and my cave.

I've heard around 7 days for the physical addiction...I think the psych addiction is about 27 years, lol.

I quit commercial smokes a couple months ago, but I roll my own to the tune of 3 or 4 per day still.

Nonetheless, a major improvement in my health and finances!

Thanks for the comment DF. If it was only for my selfish lazy ass I would never quit smoking. But this time it's different. I really want to hang around for awhile and get to know my grandkids. That is the only motivation I've ever had to really quit for good.

Aint that the truth ET, one of my good friends quit smoking almost 30 years ago and still has an occasional urge under the right circumstances.

And cost savings, geezuz. If I started putting the cash from smoking in a piggy bank instead, well, it had better be a pretty big friggen piggy bank.
