They feigned alarm at what had happened and, citing the horrors they beheld, decided that they should not be shown to the public. The outcry from all Americans would have been heard 'round the world. Yes, they knew all about the torture procedures. The latest publicity, geared to make us accept horrible tortures, is nothing more than propaganda to give a "moral" tone to the sordid mess when the Geneva Convention made such degradation a CRIME worthy of arrest and trial. . |

Congressional officials say the groups' ability to challenge the practices was hampered by strict rules of secrecy that prohibited them from being able to take notes or consult legal experts or members of their own staffs. And while various officials have described the briefings as detailed and graphic, it is unclear precisely what members were told about waterboarding and how it is conducted. Several officials familiar with the briefings also recalled that the meetings were marked by an atmosphere of deep concern about the possibility of an imminent terrorist attack. You are a total idiot, and therefore you must be a self-righteous liberal bastard. NO "atrocities" were committed at Abu Ghraib. NONE, moron. No one had eyes gouged out or tongues hacked off, or worse. Instead maybe they had panties put on their head. Boo hoo. That is your normal way of "dressing for success" at the office. But,I'll bet you or someone you know has had an abortion. Now THAT is an atrocity, dismembering an innocent chiild. We conservatives take the moral high ground, while you ranting, whiny liberals are all hypocrites. |

They vote for it (War, Taxes, Treaties, destroying CIA tapes, stealing SS fund, Deficit spending) then blame the other side for the deed. Straight from the Democratic playbook. Only took 75 years to see these people for what they are. |
