54, Executive Assistant, recently laid off due to corporate downsizing that is why I have the time to get on here and express my opinion. Instead of getting mad at me, why aren't you getting mad at the government? The bill they are trying to pass will make THOUGHTS a crime. Don't you get it?

did any of you actually take the time to read the bill? all i saw was a bill to form an investigative commision, whose job it would be to figure out ways to prevent the spread of "homegrown terrorism"....no camps......no black helicoptors.....just a bunch of self important "experts" getting their cronies status as "consulting experts" to testifie before them.....half of it was how thes turds get paid......not "heidi", but not particularly terrifying to me either

With two versions of this bill currently in the Senate (H.R. 1955 and S. 1959), the legislation could attack First Amendment rights by mandating the government to clamp down on free speech online, among other things.
ok, first post was for 1855...just read hr 1859....its a large magazine ban for firearms.....ummmm, still no concentration camps,black helicopters, or blanket detention authorization ive see.....dont get me wrong, im not advocating a need for another commision of "experts", most of whom dont know their ass from a hole in the gound,or the opportunity for their pals to get a chance to milk the tit too. i definately dont like the idea of a large maggy ban... but i dont see concentration camp powers in either bill |

`(a) In General- The Department of Homeland Security's efforts to prevent ideologically based violence and homegrown terrorism as described herein shall not violate the constitutional rights, civil rights, or civil liberties of United States citizens or lawful permanent residents.

SEC. 899A. DEFINITIONS.
`For purposes of this subtitle:
`(1) COMMISSION- The term `Commission' means the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism established under section 899C.
`(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.

Pretty much leaves it open for our elected officials to do whatever they want to us.
That's why WE "THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" must stop H. R. 1959, which has already been approved by the House of Representatives, from being
voted into law by the SENATE.
THIS IS A SENATE VOTE AWAY FROM BEING THE LAW OF THE LAND.
I actually emailed my reps about HR1955, the *thought* crime bill, one responded as his usual canned commen, the woman actually took the time in her canning to explain that the bill was to prevent terrorism....man, how supid do they think we still are? sometimes i wonder if some of them even know what is going on in their world. |
