I am no fan of AOL, but unless you have some evidence, why not just say they suck and leave it at that?

I used to have AOL. I became dissatisfied and wanted to cancil. Every time I called to cancil, they gave me another free month or 2 to get me to stay. I had free internet for well over a year. WHY?? You don't make money by giving away your service for free. Then as I became more experienced I discovered that AOL's browser had taken over my OS for all practical purposes. I now disable all but a few necessary programs in my start files, and nothing gets in or out of my firewall without permission. AOL was history years ago.

AOL is a memory resource hog. Their new software helix is the biggest joke of a browser service of all time. Who wants to have email IMs and browser in one when you can get all that crap seperately?

Also, Windows live deskmail seems to slow down my pc a lot too.

And Google, and others we need not mention.

Anybody who uses AOL probably still rides their bicycle (or perhaps motorcycle) using training wheels.

i use aol because they didnt require a credit card to sign up.
we have no bank account either.
i figure EVERY word and every site i visit WILL be recorded SOMEWHERE and there simply is nothing to do about it.

until the internet is censored here in amerika, like in china, then im going where i want, when i want and i dont give a flying crap if aol knows or not.

maybe they will learn a thing or two following me around!
