Predictions for 2008 (Year of Earth Rat)
OVERALL PROJECTION
This is the fifth year of the Lower “8” Cycle of the world. Based on I-Ching, while the period between 1984 and 2043 ( totalling 60 years ) is “Fire-Wind Urn ”, the year 2008 is “Thunder-Earth Yu ”.
I-Ching Analysis
“Thunder-Earth Yu” contains only 1 “Yang” and 5 “Yin ’s ”. This is quite an extreme situation for the dominance of “woman” power. Many women not only would climb to senior corporate but also political positions.
This I-Ching symbol indicates thunder on top of earth. There are 2 “yin’s” covering 1 “yang”, implying that most countries in the world would still to suffer, especially those that had been strong in the past. The world may have to suffer from many wild fires caused by thunder. Inevitably there would be many arguments , battles and wars, especially among southern countries . On the opposite, China would enjoy the power of the uprising “yang” and advances even further in its economies. This may be a year with many activities involving the sun, such as those “black spots”, involving electromagnetic interferences on earth. This may be a record year for single old ladies to re-marry. Marriage involving older women and younger men would continue. The world’s political picture, especially USA and UK, could be very dark, owing to many terrorist attacks.
Flying-Star Analysis
robberies, mugging, pick-pocketing and defrauding. Vulnerable places are such as South Africa, South America, Guangdong. If you live or visit such places, be more cautious. There would be plenty of water problems worldwide, such as flooding. The polar ice will speed up its melting process, thus increasing the water level in the oceans. Low-line islands may be endangered. Mudslides, cracks in high-rise buildings would be commonplace. Old cities may experience more problems with underground water systems. Because this is a year of “Male-Male” connection, there may be problems with the homosexual community, including divorces and murder-suicides. On the bright side, this is a good year for economic recoveries. Many businesses would do well.
West
This is the “arguments” center and is the second worst center this year. It would involve controversies, legal conflicts, wars and battles. It is mostly represented by UK and USA. There would be major happenings in these countries, such as terrorist attacks. In USA, such events may happen even before the federal election, in which a female president should prevail. BC ( Canada) may suffer from any labor problems.
North-West
Female power predominates in this year’s world politics. Many countries may elect female presidents, including the USA. However, controversies would also be abundant. This is not really a good year to head up countries such as the USA or UK. There would also be many “xxx Gate” problems in the world.
Canada would continue to enjoy its political stability. There would not be much change in it leadership or heads of state.
Canada ’s Toronto would continue to suffer financially and would be outperformed by its surrounding cities and towns.
Japan would try to befriend China, resulting in huge economic gains.
South and North Korea would intensify their talk of peace, which eventually would lead to their re-unification.
Taiwan ’s Kuomin Tang would win the election – making it one step closer to re-unification with China.
Hong Kong would do well. Its political picture would be stable. However, controversies would continue, especially those involving female politicians .
UK and USA may have to face another round of terrorist attacks, especially in both the south and west sides of the country

WORLD PREDICTIONS (2007 through 2008)

As we wave farewell to 2007 and slowly merge with the energies of 2008, the Planet Earth and our entire World, (everything we've known on an economical, political and social level) is entering a very serious and major cosmic transformational reality continuum. It doesn't mean that you should expect to experience a hyperspace (warp drive) dimensional shift (similar to one of Captain Picard's Starship wormhole excursions), but it does mean that our very existence and routine daily lifestyles are about to be lifted and warped into an entirely new and unexpected survival paradigm. The effects experienced will be much the same as experienced by the American colonists during their 1776 leap to freedom (from under the monarchial rule of Great Britain and King George).
Numerologically, the entire World will be entering a (1) Universal Year during 2008. That's determined by adding together the separate digits of the year (2 + 0 + 0 + 8) = 10. These two digits (10) are then added together (1 + 0) = 1 which is the Universal Year Number for the year 2008.
The ONE UNIVERSAL YEAR signals a year of new beginnings, new commitments, new directions and an end to the style of events and conduct experienced during the previous (9) years (that began during 1999). So what does all of this newness mean for the world and the U.S.? Well for one thing, it means that the consciousness of the U.S. and the world's populace will feel that conditions endured for the last 9 years must change. Conditions such as the war in Iraq, the numbing down of our Congressional willpower, its direction and failing determination to change and redirect their weak and decadent decision making. The World will follow that same urge and desire, country by country, to find better and more effective ways to exist together universally.
The 10th card of the Tarot Deck's Major Arcana is a further indication that the U.S. and World consciousness have reached a moment of decision and action. The 10th card is the WHEEL of FORTUNE that begins spinning clockwise during January 2008. Its message for the year is that change and forward movement are now underway and inevitable. Further, that dramatic changes are the ultimate result, as its increasing speed/momentum centrifugally tears and rips resisting elements (from the wheel) skyward flinging them into outer space. The spinning wheel will not support or carry clinging and resistant old ways and customs. It shows that 2008 will be a surprising and eye-opening awakening for the world.
Here are a few of the suggested elements that (2008) may portend:
ECONOMIC OUTLOOK: Not just a slowing of the economy, but an out and out recession. True, the pundits of economic trend analysis feel that the Global economy will support and sustain America's fiscal survival. However, the mortgage, oil and increasing job losses will crunch our daily lives well into the Spring of 2009. The Stock Market will not crash, but will experience a crushing market correction. This will be accompanied by an increasing credit crunch initiated by home loss through foreclosure, layoffs, corporate cutbacks and job loss.
NATURAL DISASTERS: Mother Nature will be going through a planetary purification... a long delayed cleansing and catharsis throughout 2008. This will lead to more devastating fires nationwide, violent storms (including tornadoes and hurricanes), plus volcanic action and earthquakes...all will be on the increase.
WORLD EVENTS POLITICALLY: Many of the world's nations will be in political foment. It's likely that the Bush Administration will attack Iran, fanning the World Fires of Aggression that will force Russia to take drastic measures. What these may be is anyone's guess, but since the World is under the changing forces of the Tarot Wheel of Fortune and the Numerological (1) Universal year, you can be sure it will introduce the sort of radical change that will throw all our lives into an emotional and economical tailspin.
... Astrologically, our Planet, the United States and the entire World is about to undergo the beginning of a planetary and Galactic Transformational shift affecting our lifestyles and governmental consciousness. Over the past 16 years, Americans have painfully endured the gradual decline in our country's governmental integrity. It began with the one-sided and deceptively manipulative restaffing of our Supreme Court and has endured/proceeded through to the recent years of monarchial rule exercised by our current regent... King George Bush II. This period of agonizing and pathological degeneracy is now finally being capped off by a total decline in responsibility and accountability by the members of our U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Not one individual or group within their chambers seems willing to rise up in defense of and to fight for the truths and justices held sacred by our founding fathers.
Under the newly arriving energies of the 2008-2024 Galactic dispensation initiated by the Planet Pluto (which begins influencing our planet's consciousness during January 2008), we will all experience and bear witness to some rather harsh lifestyle adjustments personally and governmentally. It's anticipated that there's going to be a huge shakeup and some fundamental rethinking about the manner in which our country is governed. Americans are finally going to stand up for their rights (holding the administration and Congress accountable) by refusing to accept a subversively broken and corrupt governmental system. It's not that our governmental laws and legislative rules of conduct will be changed or superceded, but rather that they will finally be implemented and practiced as originally intended by our colonial forefathers. There will be a call throughout the nation to completely cleanse and revise the old political ways and to establish a trusted and honest system and center of power.
During 2008 through to 2024, Washington will finally get the message that it no longer stands alone as The World's Super Power, but that other nations such as Russia, Japan, the Arab Emirates and China are competitively demanding and claiming a piece of the action. After all, some of these countries already possess overwhelming and controlling ownership and interests in America through their investments and increasing balance of trade advantages (a growing fact that seems lost on our Washington Beltway Masters and Minions of Authority).
By assuming greater power roles (in competition to our former lead as the dominant world command and authority figure), these rising nations will be forcefully morphing the U.S. into both inescapable aggressive and defensive postures. In turn, the U.S will feel compelled to implement actions that will likely ignite widespread chaos and foment massive loss of life. Eventually our leaders will be forced to realize that by attempting to be the World's Police Force and dictator, we are not only draining our manpower and material resources, but financially bankrupting the nation's populace (not to mention permanently alienating our traditional allies).
What our nation's leaders haven't realized is that their struggle for world leadership and economic oil supremacy has forced our planet's hand ecologically (remember... you should never fool with Mother Nature). Not just the nations of the earth will be affected by this approaching Galactic Transformation, but the earth itself will begin a long delayed cleansing and clearing of our pollutions from her crust and atmospheres. The cathartic process will be facilitated (through volcanic action, earthquakes, tidal waves, climatic storms, firestorms, tornadoes and floods). Much of this has already begun, but during the process years of the Transformation (2008 - 2024) these natural therapeutic revisions will be increasing in disturbing proportions. Many will ask why are these terrible disasters occurring and slowly increasing in frequency. The answer is to afford the planet, and all of its citizens, the opportunity to clear their lives of the old, outworn and discordant negativities embraced over the years. The cleansing is necessary to enable the Will of the Creator to initiate a healing regenesis throughout the planet and all of us (her children) who are an integral part of her life. The planet Earth is a living breathing entity who deserves our reverence and respect. Following the period of disruptive catharsis comes the rebalancing and rebirth. This Galactic Transformation influenced by Pluto's entry into Capricorn (beginning in 2008) is the trigger that initiates cataclysmic earth changes and the needed personal cleansing within us all. Transformation always involves the destruction of the old, then a period of stasis or rebalancing, followed by the rebirth. The earth and climate changes won't occur overnight, but will, indeed, will be a slow moving and gradual transformative process over the next 16 years. That is the plan of the Creator.
Tighten your seatbelt, grit your teeth & prepare your emotions for a ride through 2008 and beyond we'll all remember. An approaching storm always appears ominous and frightening, but the calm and happy outcome will be welcomed by all.
