In astronomy terms 7 days to wait till the 23rd is like a 1000th of a millisecond. If the planet and galactic alignments are going to cause geological disturbances, shouldn't there already have been some serious geological events happening? why will these predicted/suspected events only happen at precise 12:00 22/12 or 12:00 23/12? Also doesn't 12/12/12 rather refer to day/month/year than TIME/month/year? i.e 12/12/2012 rather than 12:00 23 Dec 2007? Quoting: acolyte 308272 You're right to wonder at the accuracy, but the real reason for the lack of geological disturbance is two-fold:First, there is no planet and galactic alignment; Second, even if there were, the gravity delta would be so small as to be practically immeasurable, and certainly not enough to trigger any sort of geological, volcanic, or tectonic disturbances.
