If you look carefully you can see the 'bruise' goes all the way up into her hair line.
Looks like she is struggling to hold on to her shape as 2012 rapidly approaches.

Even though she doesn't run laps, she does spend some time alone.
She's also 81, and it's TOTALLY possible that she got shaky, stumbled backwards into something or hit her neck on an antique bedpost.
Balance problems & falling for no apparent reason are pretty common among ladies her age. They'll barely bump into something, or someone will just brush past them, or they'll just bend their neck too much or get up too fast -- and they'll fall as if they were hit broadside.
ALSO, bruises tend to be much bigger & worse-looking in old people, because their skin is thinner and they have less subcutaneous fat to cushion a blow. And head-face bruises are the pits to begin with, for everyone.
Right now, the thing looks semi-healed, since it's brownish, not a reddish hematoma. |

Queen Elizabeth Windsor II in that photograph seems to be wearing a "wig", and if you look very closely, the bruise has what appears to be "scaley freckles" on it.
So that is it - SHE is the Lizard Beth after all! - LOL! |

Shadows, old age, old skin and they forgot to plaster makeup back there like they did at the front of her neck. You often see pics of celebrities where their faces and necks or shoulders don't match in colour. Poor makeup jobs. |
