Tori Amos:
I don't know if any of you have heard of Tori Amos but I always found her lyrics to be rather intriguing.
She's some Piano Prodigy (started playing when she was only 2) and has sold millions of records. Her and Trent Reznor of NIN use to date, and she hates Courtney Love (wrote a song about her called Professional Widow)...I don't know what side she's on, or if she's apart of the alien agenda but she always talks about gnostic themes, spiritual related matters, and aliens in many of her songs. She's great with metaphors. I've also seen video footage of her in concert where she seems posessed or in a mind-controlled state of mind. It hurts to watch.

At 4:00 she goes into this weird grunt for 30 seconds, then after that at 5:40 she seems to make her eyes cross-sided then goes down into a scary freakout that makes me get chills all over my body.

Towards the end she holds a knife to her thigh, and acts like shes jabbing it in her cooter, and then pulls a gun to her head but she didn't pull the trigger.
The woman clearly has issues. I hope she gets help. |

She may have been a little emotionally unstable on the first live concert vid because she had a miscarriage a month before...that would make anyone a little weird.
I think she was also molested/raped when she was younger...that may explain the lyrics at the end of that song.

I'm all for artists using metaphors to be creative and convey certain points and imagery but sometimes they go overboard and this seems to be an example. This just sounds like nonsensical drivel from an insane woman. |

Just to be fair...some kids who are molested are known to be mind controlled/possessed.
You'll find this same kind of ritual abuse in many writers/musicians for obvious reasons. |

it's b/c you have to remove yourself from the situation when you are being molested/raped. This vacancy allows for the pushed down emotions and feelings to become characters themselves. Artists have the ability to call upon emotions to paint the medium they are using to express themselves.
If she's possessed then she is using the possession as much as it is using her.
I tend to think that this is what music is supposed to be...real emotion, from the heart, not concerned with what others think. It should express the unbridled passion that our soul experiences while here in the experience of Man on Earth.

but that's just the thing...
I've been watching Tori for many many years now, lots of heart-rendering emotion for sure, and this is the first performance to my memory where she is VACANT -- that's what is creepy -- she's just gone, entranced, and not in an authentic way.... her eyes looked vacant from the beginning of the vid... I don't see real emotions for the most part in that performance.

That grunt is classic possession.
Interesting that she freaks out right after singing about "demon eyes" and smashing the faces in of "Christian boys"...
I certainly wouldn't go near her or her music...some dark stuff going on there for sure.

what it comes down to is this....
would a woman of heart, and true pain....
be trying to market and make money off of every song
she has written about her miscarriages, rape, and abuse?
Tori Amos has made more money off talking about her dead babies, being raped, and being abused in her songs then anyone else in the world. None of you find that disgusting? |
