Do people subconsciously know when they're going to die? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 345139 United Kingdom 12/25/2007 05:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was listening to last night's C2C show and some woman called in while Joseph Jacobs (psychic guy) was on and she asked him "Do you think that people sense or know when they are going to die?" The way I understood the question was, do people - if they are going to die soon - have a sense of it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 306940JJ said he didn't think so. He said there are some days that are so bad that he wishes he would die, but overall, no, people don't have a sense of that. I thought the question was interesting because I often think that I'm going to die soon-ish. I don't have any life-threatening illnesses (that I know of), I believe I am very healthy, but sometimes I just think that I am going to die early or soon or unexpectedly (as opposed to people who die of lingering illnesses). So, what do you guys think? Do you think that people know or have an idea that they're going to die soon before they die? I think I'm speaking more of people who die suddenly -like car crashes.... I've never had any sense of that, at all. I'm 53 years old and I fully intend to have a "George Burns" finish. I will die, painlessly, in my sleep, when I am 100 years old. I might well take up smoking expensive, Cuban cigars when my precious metals shares blow right through the stratosphere, in 2008-2009! |

According to what I've read on the subject, some souls do indeed preview when and where they will die in a particular lifetime before living it, so technically, on some subconscious level they may know before it happens. However, it's also been said that advanced souls usually only "preview" the first 20-years of their life or so, and have no idea when it will end until they're dead. Interesting stuff. |

If you create patterns and tools for it, sometimes you can guide your future... change directions, of some sort.. Reality is felt through the heart. When I lived in Michigan I read about a preacher who was in the hospital from being injured from ice falling off of his roof. He was in pretty bad shape and after being in the hospital for a week he told his family and nurse in the room that he could see a door and he was going to walk through it. He then died. |

The more the veil is lifted the closer to death (materially) we become? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 281297 United States 12/25/2007 06:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My father married a younger woman when he was 42, he told her before they got married that she needed to realize that he would die at 70 years old, he knew it, and she needed to think hard about whether she wanted to be a somewhat young widow. She thought he was just being weird and told him she loved him and didn't care. Years went by, he got cancer and died at age 70 leaving her a somewhat young widow. A friend's sister always said she would not live past 30, that she would die in a car crash, and sure enough at 29 she died in a car crash. I don't understand these things but they happen. Somehow i feel like I will not live into old age. |

Most NDE'rs say we set our incarnations up so that we have the best chances of learning the lessons we feel we need to learn for spiritual growth. Part of that set up, is picking your time for going back once your lessons are learned. Mind you, things and circumstances can change. |

I have had vivid dreams of certain events that would happen during my life and they did not make sense, but when the event happened, I would remember the dreams that showed me that they will come to pass. I have seen everything that will happen up to age 50, then I don't see anything happening after that point. I just see darkness. |
XNG1990 User ID: 58600363 United States 05/28/2014 01:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been thinking about this a lot. My dad was in a car accident a year and a half ago. The night before it, he broke down to me crying that he was afraid to die. What was weird about this, is he had never done this before, and he was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that could have easily taken him any time before this. He knew. I also have seen a lot of artists eerily predict their deaths(Tupac, John Lennon, Jeff Buckley, ect). I feel that a lot of my idols(such as Martin Luther King)knew that theirs was coming. I have been getting some signs lately and a small fear that I will die soon and be unable to have children and get married. I like to consider myself a reasonable person, but I also consider myself a spiritual person that relies heavily on intuition. I'm really not sure what to expect, but I pray that I will be able to have children first. In all honesty this topic probably shouldn't consume too much of my mind. |

BUT I Never thought it was going to happen to my daughter. With my oldest daughter (age 3) I was able to imagine what she is going to look like in her wedding dress, but my 5 month year old, I could not. I am not sure if the signs where these but if we do sense things, WE WOULD NEVER RECOGNIZE IT UNTIL IT HAPPENS.. then people can sit back and say OHHHHHH THAT WAS A SIGN. I always wonder how I am going to die. I wonder what happens after you die. I wonder what my daughter sees and everyone else that dies. |
