Question for Computer Geeks regarding new laptop! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 343861 United States 12/26/2007 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Is it possible to put a new keyboard on the laptop? Quoting: 2XSecretAgentYea, probably.. a quick fix might be a keyboard that you can plug into USB. It might be a hassle dragging it around with your laptop, but at least you can then take the time on deciding what you really want to do. It looks like I can get a new keyboard for around $50. I need to find a good computer tech store - not BestBuy, that can help me with this stuff. Yikes! 50 bucks? I thought they were a lot cheaper.. like this one I found here: [link to www.provantage.com] Or check check out Newegg .. we buy a lot of things from them. Excellent, fast service. I don't go to places like BestBuy etc. unless there is some really cool deal on something. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 326428Ya Know, I really despise people that think Mac or PC is better than the other. I run both, they both have problems. the Mac, IMO, however, is a toy compared to my PC Workstation. That said i really don't like Vista and frankly mis Windows 2000, my server runs it and never, ever, crashes or needs a reboot. |
The Cherished One User ID: 181321 United States 12/26/2007 04:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hello 2X HP laptops seem to be the "best" buy at the moment...most "stuff" for your $$$... :) Go to HP's website and you can order one with XP still in it (Refurbished Models) for about 10%-20% cheaper then new. These are new models, but because they were "pre-owned" they can't sell them as "new". Say a company buys a 500 of them, but only needs 480...they send the 20 laptops back, HP takes them and even though the box was never opened, they open the box, run the tests on them and put them back into the box and place them back on the market as "Refurbished"...still get the same warranty and all, as if it was new, which it is really. We have bought several of them this way...works out very nice! Hope this helps and Merry Christmas hun! Peace Thread: The Cherished One ...do remember my agreement with everyone when having these little conversations. There is no judgment on my end of things nor any expectations on my part. You are free to believe what you wish. A message of Hope… [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] |

I'm not sure how to replace it myself though.
