Dawkins is a fucking moron.. despite how smart he and all his followers think he is, he is NO different from a preacher. Infact, he is dumber than one because at least religious preachers RECOGNIZE the evidence for a creator/driving force!

If you look at the bigger picture, the evidence clearly points towards a creator.

If you ask the simple question of WHY AM I EXISTING, you will not be able to answer it using science alone. A metaphysical, philosophical AND scientific perspective is needed.

If you ACTUALLY look at the evidence within science, you will come to the realization there is an intelligence that has created this reality.. we are a part of that intelligence.

He has taken Darwins work to a new level of ignorance. Darwin merely observed, for which he should be commended.. but Dawkins has taken Darwins ideas and implied his own warped perspective over the top of it.

I don't need anyone to tell me how things work. I am not religious, never have been. I also denounced the need for an intelligence up until the age of 18 or so.. but only because thats what i had been conditioned to do! I studied BIOSCIENCE at a top UK university, and in the very first lecture the lecturer told us just how distorted the story Dawkins and others promote really is! The really is nothing to support his perspective.

There are HUGE holes in the perspective. Huge holes. Dawkins must know this, but ignore it because it does not fit his picture.

I love Dawkins. He is so brilliant but can communicate in a way that the average person understands. I suggest everyone watch his royal institute children's lectures series. For adults in the US, who are never taught evolution, it is a real eye opener.

Biology is too huge for any one person to answer every conceivable question. Nobody knows everything. Nobody can know everything.

These people set him up and lied to him and told them the video was about something else, and then he got asked that question. The DNA code has 4 bases, there is a set code for translation into proteins, on chromosomes there are 2 types of chromatins -Euchromatin and Heterochromatin. Chromatin contains proteins called histones and modifications at certain positions occur on these protein sequences. This is believed to be the mechanism between changes of Euchromatin structure and Heterochromatin structure. The modifications are completely random and no histo code has been discovered. This suggest extreme complexity.

Why do almost all species use this dna code and have not developed there own dna code which would be expected if the driving mechanism of evolution was natural selection.

You called me a troll for what? Having things to back me up? If we're going to talk generalized opinions its my general sense that life IS due to chance. What am I supposed to say? If I take the time to explain probability of hemoglobin, fractals, information, monkeys typing Shakespeare sequentially instead of with simultaneous probability, the common heritage of all life and all the massive amount of information that gives me this sense what will you say then? There is no way that eyesight could "accidentally" develop.

Why would hearing develop unless there were sound waves ?

One step too high. Look at how ears are built; the sound sensing structures are flagella. Sound amounts to sensitivity to touch if you're a filter feeder.

why would you waste time? it took me all of 3 mins to debunk the claim that that video was real. I had done that so that you can have another look at what was real. What he says is another matter but he is far from stupid.

lol Richard doesnt speak for the whole of the science community but he is well respected. You must understand that they are trying to work it out, is that so wrong? he may seem arrogant but then your views are probably being attacked and you're getting defensive. Why debate an eye. Try to explain the "evolution" of just ONE of its cells.

Because closing down the debate is stifling science - science has been stifled in so many ways when theories have been taken as proven fact.

There is evidence to back up the theory of evolution. Inteligent design is welcome, as it gives more ideas to the problem but carries less weight. The more the better but i personally believe that what ever theory scientists come up with in the next 100 years is probably going to be way from the truth but at the very least on the right lines.
