Time for another

It’s the principle. I don't like the government dictating what I choose to do. I am an adult and an American, and last time I checked, we had the right to make our own choices in this country. If I want to be an idiot and smoke, that's my choice, no one else’s. It all just boils down to being free to make up our own minds as long as it doesn't harm someone else...and second hand smoke?....no worse than the pollutants factories put out into the air, no worse than the emissions from our vehicles, no worse than the garbage dumps that emit toxic gases. I guess we can shut down all the factories, stop driving and quit throwing our trash away. Silly I know, but do you see the point I'm trying to make?

We stand in our little 5X5 space outside the workplace, making sure we're at least 15 ft away from any entrance, pay the extra taxes, purchase the product from behind iron/glass cages with high tech locks on them (you'd think they were made of gold or something) we put up with the total and complete strangers who feel its their life’s mission to walk up to us and tell us, without knowing us, just what kind of scum we are and how we all deserve what we get....that's so rude. You don’t do that to people, but we put up with it. And now here you are bashing us once again when you yourself were part of this group at one time. Kudos for quitting and way to go! Good for you...but could you please...just this once...try and understand? You have the choice to smoke or not smoke...so do we. Let us have our choice and go about your business. We won’t bother you, you don't bother us. Sounds fair to me.
