I live in NC User ID: 833896 United States 12/04/2009 10:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can get all your name brand cigs still as NON FSC!!! Quoting: fsc is a no no 551477Got mine in about 5 days from North Carolina. [link to www.carolinacartons.com] The good cigs are still available! Hurray!!! At least someone still has some left, but we are going to need to stock pile. Come 2010, the whole country will be FSC, because the manufacturers are switching over Nationwide on Jan. 1, 2010. They will not make 2 production lines any longer because as of that date 38+ states will have the FSC law in effect. Even states without the law will get FSC only starting at the end of 2009 and 100% as of Jan. 1, 2010. I am going to buy 2 to 3 times the amount I smoke for the next 10 months so I build up at least a year supply for 2010 and I hope after the shit hits the fan on that date that we will band together as a population of 20% of Americans that still smoke and fight this FSC in Washington and get thi repealed and force the manufacturers to start making them the GOOD way again!!! Stock up and band together to fight this!!!! I live in NC and we already have the FSC cigs here as well..I use tar bar's on my cigs. Have been for several months. I still have a couple of non FSC cigs left..when they are done, so am I. You can go to youtube and type in tar bar for info on these filters. Worth checking in to. |

kpalacevodka90 User ID: 836720 United States 12/08/2009 11:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the only reason that they changed the cigarettes is to get people to stop smoking you do not hear often about fires from smoking but you do hear all the time about how they want people to stop smoking and they will do anything to make that happen which is what they did but in reality now it is more dangerous to smoke then to leave on lit and catch their houses on fire. |
dawn User ID: 836741 United States 12/09/2009 12:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yeah i have also noticed that my cigarettes taste very nastier, and i get a smelly ashy taste in my mouth and when i breathe i get that metallic taste, i agree with you all, that the government didnt care about warning us about this new affect they were trying out, and i know cigarettes are not healthly to begin with, but why make it worse and faster to give us more health porblems, especially like you said what test have actually been done on it, people ask, then why do you keep smoking then, well it easy for those people to say, but its harder to give up for most... |
Radar User ID: 837047 Germany 12/09/2009 12:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Clearly FSC was created by anti-smoking. I have smoked cigarettes for over 40 years. I have not died from smoking. I enjoy smoking, at least, until anti-smoking changed the cigarette recipe to FSC. When I smoked an FSC cigarette I immediately could tell that in addition to the FSC the tobacco was not the same. I am speaking from experience of being a 40 year Marlboro cigarette customer. The FSC cigarette caused me throat illness. It wasn't until I stopped smoking FSC cigarettes and went back to my normal Marlboro cigarettes did my throat illness go away. I cannot smoke FSC cigarettes. Obviously that is what the anti-smoking wants. Which is wrong. I would file a class action lawsuit against the governments, (state and federal) for ruining the health of smokers by forcing FSC on everyone; and removal of choice, i.e. both normal and FSC should be available; NOT a law that forces FSC only with the false pretense of saving houses from burning down. However, I am afraid that a law suit will not do anything for the smokers; Anti-smoking will be supported by the politically correct. So, what can we do? Blackmarket? Equate normal cigarettes to marijuana where you can be sent to jail if you start a business making normal cigarettes? Of course anti-smoking wants everyone to quit and with FSC it looks like they win, we lose. There is nothing that I know of that we can do about this except learn how to make your own cigarette paper and grow your own tobacco. Will the government outlaw that next? By the way, where do I get normal cigarettes? I get them from foreign countries where they do not FSC it. |

I just looked on my pack of Camels that aren't staying lit and there was NO FSC notation at the UPC, however when I looked on the bottom of the pack I found it, so the FSC may be stamped anywhere on the pack. |
Common Sense User ID: 839839 United States 12/13/2009 03:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Are we going to do away with "the flame" as we know it? What next, fire safe candles? What about all the deaths every year from electrical fires, do away with electricity? Come on people. Let's not let the government take away personal responsibility. Someone leaving a cigarette unattended is irresponsible. You shouldn't have to make cigarettes "fire safe". Why not place the blame on the individual and not the entire smoking community? What about car accidents. Take away vehicles? People are injured and killed everyday for all kinds of reasons. It's called "life". This is supposed to be "the Land of the Free". I should be able to smoke a cigarette without putting aluminum and carpet glue in it. Nonsmokers stop pointing fingers! What are you doing in your life? Drinking, drugs, gambling, cheating on your spouse, ignoring your kids, not paying taxes, etc...etc...don't you judge me! |

Jenni78 User ID: 847363 United States 12/22/2009 08:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fire safe cigarettes are produced by adding bands of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) to the cigarette paper during manufacturing, in order to decrease burn rate at the bands.[30] The combustion toxicity of EVA has not been studied to any extent, but combustion byproducts are known to include carbon monoxide and "unknown hydrocarbons".[31] There is an online petition made by "citizens against fire-safe cigarettes" which cites many of the known hazards of these cigarettes in its petition.[32] Phillip Morris USA has reported that the Adhesive ethylene vinyl acetate and polyvinyl acetate are used in the non-tobacco ingredients of cigarettes produced as a Side-seam adhesive. However, Phillip Morris USA fails to distinguish the differences in levels between regular and FSC cigarettes. The amount does not exceed 0.6% combined. Since additional layers of paper are used in FSC cigarettes, more adhesive is needed in the form of ethylene vinyl acetate.[33] I'm pretty sure this is the same stuff as carpet glue... They make me sick as a dog and I've actually burned stuff for the FIRST time since they switched to FSC! I've smoked for 18yrs and I've never had a cherry just fall off into my lap or floor with a regular cigarette. How is this safer? The burning ashes from the damn things goes flying everywhere as soon as you light up..This is going to cause car accidents. Why was no one given a choice? I take full responsibility if I burn my house down with a non-fsc cigarette, but it seems more likely to happen with the fsc...Then I believe my house fire is on the governments hands...This is bullshit. |

I'm trying to figure out why our government would do this...and then I think...oh come on, it's all about control. They don't want us to stop smoking for they make good money taxing us to death...we are being experimented on without concern for our health as they proclaim...because if they really gave 2 shits, they'd ban cigarettes completely. Somehow and some way they plan to profit off our illnesses and our addiction. Rest assured, they don't give one iota of concern for anything outside of the almighty buck. |
