A new book by Larry Hancock and Stu Wexler is highlighted in a series of articles by Jerry Mitchell of the Mississippi Clarion Ledger. In the article Mitchell reveals Klansman-turned-FBI-informant Delmar Dennis told The Clarion-Ledger before his death that the White Knights regarded itself a national organization and King as the ultimate enemy. Mitchell states Hancock and Wexler’s book answers many questions, including the long asked query “Could the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in Mississippi have played a role in the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.?” In response, some readers have replied that this investigation into the past by Mississippi officials and book authors is a waste of time, effort and money.
That someone would think them superior to another based upon ethnicity is wrong. In addition, the loss of life based upon that erroneous belief is unthinkable. Yet, somehow in this land founded in equality for all, that unthinkable event what happened to children, women & men whose crime was to be born black.
What negates the need for justice? Should we ignore murders because time has passed, because it cost money to investigate & try murderers, or because it doesn't directly benefit us in a personal way? Turning a blind eye to inequities of the past does not serve us as a country or as individuals. Questions demand answers, truth is expected, and the credibility of our nation needs to be restored. The lack of investigation into the murder of men were killed based solely upon the color of their skin and their inherent right to be treated as any other citizens of our country, stole our country's innocence and integrity. Thankfully, Hancock & Wexler think it's never too late.

The torture of covering up the truth for over 50 years is rather overwhelming.

All these people were killed by other "Democratic" entities...
