Would you date a self confessed Freemason?
I met a gorgeous guy in a bar, conversation led to symbolism and freemasons, which he voluntarily confessed to being one. I asked a few questions out of sheer curiousity, naturally, but he diverted the conversation to a different subject. I'm also not sure he told me the honest truth about what he does for a living... Now, we were this close (use your imagination) to making out, somehow we didn't. I was also split between 'should I?' and 'should I not?'. There's every possibility I will see him again. If you were in my position, would you go out with him - with all those unanswered questions? Remember he's a very attractive guy...

Spend a hundred bucks and hire a detective to look into him for you if you really like him that much.

Ignoring the conspiracy stuff for one moment and going by Real Life, all the Masons I know are stupid and pretentious. Not evil, actually kind of easygoing unless they feel the need to sound intellectual. Coming from me you know they must be pretty severe cases.

Re: Would you date a self confessed Freemason?
Yeah, whyever not?

My father and grandfather were masons. So was my step dad. They were all the old-fashioned, honorable, charitable gentlemen types. No weird stuff that I ever learnt of. Had many long talks with my dad before he died about the masons and he gave me loads of info and books. I never saw or heard anything to give me cause for alarm.

Hell no. Since most secret societies are "MALE ONLY" I would have a hard time with that one.

Great that you feel comfortable. But could he have withheld the 'weird stuff'? I mean I asked this guy about their initiation ceremony which he admitted to having one, but wouldn't go further than that, though I asked for details. So they do have secrets. No?

for ignoring the defects in the cars they sell

Re: Would you date a self confessed Freemason?
nothing wrong with dating a mason - their just like everyone else - the conspiracy stuff is all just fear based mongering - mostly by Christians that are scared of the truth - I know a lot of masons, I've been openly welcomed to join - I decided not too due to my beliefs that the truth they propagate doesn't need an organization, however, they are generally good people who will help you out regardless of if you are one or not.

Re: Would you date a self confessed Freemason?
I did and I lived to regret it ..the bible says not to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. he cheated on me and was really nice to me at first I really felt for him and his past and tried to be understanding of him ..in the end he was really horrible to me and found out what he wanted me to accept in his so-called religion consisted of wanting me to accept that he wanted to date not just one woman but a harem of other women which is why he started standing me up on our dates. He ended up being so verbally abusive toward me that I had to cut off all contact with him and change my number.

I would not date anyone in the future again that professes to be a freemason. I pray for him daily that he come to know the power of God in his life. the experience drew me closer to God and my faith in Christ and learned that my faith in Jesus Christ is the most valuable thing in my life that I can never afford to lose.

thoughts and prayers are with you..blessings in Christ

I was asked out by a 32nd. We talked about the conspiracy behind the secret society. I chose not to date him after a conversation we had. The secrecy of it would bother me.

We all know you put out on the first night, and no one gives a shit what the average looking guy who wheeled you at the bar lookin' to hit it and quit it, and succeeded with ease, has to say.
