I also noted a number of 'other small objects' looking to be trailing behind. OK GLP, what are your thoughts? GO! save the pic and then blow it up, then all you amateur experts out there can tell us what it is, any takers? If it is a space ship, it must be HUGE. “Those who vote decide nothing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 206565Ruled out...already, as I believe no swamps in outer space that i have seen, although my personal spacecraft is in the shop so can't investigate just now... “Those who vote decide nothing. The objects show up in the 01:31 image but not in the others of the SOHO C2 latest images [link to sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov] Therefore, it's probably space dust... CO SKY WATCHER (OP) User ID: 252847 United States 01/03/2008 10:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good eye... Quoting: Rerun Oddgun 346371If it were a comet, it would be bright enough that this object is closer to the us than the Sun, and therefore hard to judge true size. First you gotta figure out if any comets were in this line of view at that time. Rerun, If you know where to go and how to figure that out, have at it. I will do some searching...perhaps the NASA JPL site. thanks “Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything.” ― Joseph Stalin |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 276543 United States 01/03/2008 10:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can almost look at any c2-c3 pic and find "something" that doesn't seem to belong there-moving-to big-then its gone. I have a better question. What is suppose to be there ?? What are we suppose to see if so much of this is new. SOHO has only been up 10yrs or so. Also if your finding all this little crap amazing--just think what there not showing you. |

angelpbj User ID: 349706 Brazil 01/03/2008 11:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Space dust??? Space is dusty? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 339268Sorry being factetious... but seriously.. space dust? What if, it were a vehicle of some description...that would be able to move that quickly... makes more sense to me than space dust.. No offence intended well, there is lots of little, medium sized and big things out there. To call them "space dust" is probably an easy generic name, but of course it's not precise. I guess a vehicle created by someone, orbiting around the Sun, would also fit the "space dust" bill, but would be a much more interesting "dust", of course!!:-) -"Who controls the past, controls the future: who controls the present, controls the past." I thought I found all this great shit--solar maximum--X-Y-flares --4 Xs in 1 day I was hooked for 20hrs a day jumping between Cyberspace and the SOHO MPEGs--Here I am 7 yrs later and not a fucking thing has changed --still just wild guesses on weird shit. It is cool though-and with no flares for awhile you'll jump at anything your blurry eyes see. Hope ya find one of them THUNDERBIRDS |
