I am writing because the Bible makes it very clear that the Rapture can only happen after the man of sin has captured the hearts of men. Only then can God return to defeat the antichrist. I ask you to recall the words of 2 Thessalonians: "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed." If Barack Obama is the man of sin, he must be defeated by the Lord, and only by the Lord. John McCain must not defeat the man of sin. I, first just thought the idea of Obama being the Anti Christ was ignorant paranoia with no relevance, but soon realized that these people really believe that he indeed is. First off Obama has said in one of his speeches that some Americans need to pick up the bible and read it.
Most took this as a hit on the Christian faith in a whole, well my opinion, he's right!
It's the Book of Revelation, not Revelations...no plural! Also no where in the bible does it state Muslim...in fact the Muslim religion was not originated until more than 400 years after the bible had already been wrote.
Facts about The Book of Revelation: The book mentions two beast one from land and one from sea.
ONE FROM SEA:
A number of details are presented in the Revelation text which assist
the reader in identifying this beast.
- 7 heads, 10 horns, 10 crowns on horns.
- One of the heads mortally wounded, but
healed.
- Duration of '42 months' after the healing
of the wound.
- It wars against the saints and is given
authority.
- 666 is the number of the beast and a man.
Now as far as the 7 heads, this is most believed as being a reference to the former inhabitants of the Promised Land (ie the 7 nations of Canaan), the 10 horns being the 10 tribes of the house of Israel and the 10 crowns being the 10 tribal leaders.
Duration of '42 months', this is what is fueling the belief that the antichrist will be a future president, well fact: The reference '42 months' is a New Testament reference to
the period cryptically described in Daniel chapter 4 as 'seven times'. Meaning that the interpretation of this from Hebrew to English was very broad, in actuality instead of meaning 42 months exact it actually is an equation explained more below from a website run by biblical scholar:
[ NB: While it is easy to derive the period of 2,520 years from'seven times', ie 7 years x 360(days per year), it is more difficult to derive this period from '42 months'.
The notion of '42 months' may be easily equated to 1,260

Next there is a direct reference that the beast from the Sea, (one defined above) will rise in the Isareal region when concerning the war against the saints and the number 666.
The beast of Land is mention and defined less than the beast of sea, but mentioned non the less.
Rev 19:20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence,
by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.
The main actions of the beast from the land are;
1) Causing the creation of a more tangible
image of the first beast.
2) Ensuring this image is worshiped.
Since this beast arises out of the earth and is a separate from the 'beast from the sea', there is the implication that this beast is Christian.
Also the bible states the Antichrist will not desire women, which leaves most people and scholar to believe that the antichrist will either be homosexual or celibate. Obama has a wife and two young children.
What I see as another important characteristic people seem to be ignoring is that the antichrist is supposed to arrive in the world accompanied by "all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders" Thes 2:9, Well I haven't seen any miracles or wonders surrounding Obama, maybe on that one I've missed something.
Okay well once you really read the bible and address each issue it's easy to see how neither one of these directly describes Obama.
Lastly, Barak Hussein Obama got his middle name from his grandfather, (his father's father). Barak was born and raised in Hawaii. Barak's family from his fathers side is from Kenya, in Africa. Some family members of his still live their and do not have a Muslim religion but are part of an African tribe....not MUSLIM. Also even if his father's side was of the Muslim religion, Barak's father left him and his mother (white mother named Ann Dunham) when he was 2 and only saw him once more in his life when he was at age 10. So his father would not have been able to influence his religious beliefs. Now his mother did later marry a man that did have the Muslim religion (who she was married to for a very short time before she divorced him) but his mother and this man named Sorento, moved to Indonesia while Barak stayed in Hawaii with his white grandparents to attend school. His mother, grandparents, and Barak himself are ALL of the Christian faith.
People or groups that historically have been accused of being the Anti-Christ:
The Roman emperor Nero, any or all of the Popes from the Catholic Church (because a pope takes a position close to a Christ-like position), Peter the Great, Napoleon, Freidrich Nietzsche ( he was self announced), John F. Kennedy (who allegedly received 666 votes during the 1956 Democratic Convention), Mikhail Gorbachev, Hitler, and William Jefferson Cliton. There are many more....
Now if you don't feel I am correct about the information on this then go, read the bible, pray, and make your own opinion.

In the name of God, people, try not to be so superstitious - Obama is not the answer to Original Sin, he's not some overwhelmingly charismatic demagogue destined to sway us all into unthinking worship, and nobody believes he is; he's just an intelligent thinking candidate (and what a breath of fresh air after eight years of Bush's malapropisms, hypocritical slogans, and jingoistic over-simplifications!), whose heart appears to be in the right place and who comes up with sensible ideas to solve the nation's current problems. What's so terrible about that? What ar eyou all afraid of? A black man in the White house? Remember The US balance of powers (if they haven't been fatally unbalanced by Bush/Cheney's legal and a-legal efforts to dentralize power in the Chief Executive) -- if Obama gets elected and you don't like his policies, you will of course contact your Congressional and Senatorial representatives and let thm know your feeling on the matter. And the US will go forward.

The anti-Christ is mentioned in all of the major religious holy texts and it speaks of this. Maybe it was put in the books to trick the people into thinking that the anti-Christ would come in physical or human form, when in reality its the very spiritual ideology we follow.

The bible is the anti-Christ since all of "Christ's" teachings were changed within it by Constantine the Great at the First Council of Nicea. This is why Jesus says, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," in the Bible. The Bible later goes on to say this about adulterers and disobedient children: "You shall take them outside the gates to the town and stone them to death."
Do you see now that the Bible is the Anti-Christ? If not there are plenty more examples within it that go straight against the 10 commandments and the teachings of Jesus.

Besides according to you guys, the simple fact that he's hated by soooo many should disqualify him as being "The Anti Christ." Sounds to me that a bigger candidate for being an anti Christ would be someone like a Pope, which is something no one would suspect. People hate politicians, but millions think they would go to hell if they dare say anything bad about a pope. Either way, it's all silly.

I am new to this chat so be nice. I guess I'm stuck on the Left Behind book series and feel like the "end times" are going to happen just as they wrote in those books. Maybe when all the children and the saved disappear then I will be worried. Maybe not even worried. If you believe in God and accept Jesus died for our sins and you have them in your heart then there is no worry. I do feel though that Obama is the anti-christ. If I am wrong than good but if I am right then everyone needs to be running for their nearest church. If he is the anti-christ then whatever we say won't matter 'cause everything that happens is suppose to happen. I happened to support Obama at the beginning of the campaign but Bill Clinton came to speak in my hometown and I turned to Hillary. Then I started to believe Obama is not who he says he is. Whats the harm in people believing what they want to. What does it hurt you? If you feel this passionate about Obama then I would like to hear some of your views on other things. How about the chick that won't tell anyone where her little baby girl is. Or the sex offender that broke into a girls bedroom, stripped down to a mask, the girl screamed when she saw him, her dad came into the room, beat the guy (who died), and everyone feels bad for him.
