1. Obama is a member of the protestant United Church of Christ. Yes, he is Christian. More then that, he found Christ after being raised in a non-religious house hold. He is married with two little girls, worked as a community organizer, constitutional lawyer, passed a lot of legislation as a U.S. Senator, and has even quit smoking while undergoing the strain of a Presidential campaign.

Signs that the end of the world is near? Go back, throughout history, and see how many times similiar "signs" have appeared. You'd be surprised how many times people thought, well this is it, the end of the world is upon us.
And that's not even considering past history of other civilizations that we know very little or nothing about (ie - Mayan, Aztec, Asian countries etc.)
Christians tend to forget that the WORLD is a big place, and it's been around a for a long time, and while Moses was bringing the young'uns out of Egypt,there was war, peace,slavery,and everything in between, going on elsewhere. IMO, there's just too much we don't know about, to go around trying to predict the coming of the anti-christ or even of Christ himself.
I look at the coming election this way - do you want the man with his finger on the button, to be an old war-loving ex POW with a chip on his shoulder that may be mentally unstable ( think about it, if you were tortured and held captive for 5 years, would you consider yourself completely and mentally stable) or do you want someone who will at least TRY to make things better for the USA and it's people.
I think McCain is a good man, and a smart man, but I don't think he'll make the right decisions for our country.I like George W. as a person, but he sucks at being a president.I don't want another Clinton, not because I don't like'em, just because, we've had enough Bush-Clinton-Bush- and if there's another Clinton, then our beloved country will have been controlled by just 2 families, for possibly 32 years, and that just ain't right. Unfortunatley that leaves Obama. The dude has very little experience, and he has a funny sounding name. But maybe that's what we need. What we have NOW sure ain't working. Unless of course, you're corporate America.
I wish there was another decent candidate to choose from, but we can wish in one hand, and crap in the other and we all know which one will fill up first. |

Some of the so-called signs have been intentionally manipulated by Christains and others to hurry up the 2nd coming of Christ or because they believed God told them to do it. This is simply your personal opinion, which everyone is entitled to have. God may be just testing our faith, for all we know.Or that other guy, the Devil, may be fucking with us all.He does like to confuse and tempt us. And one more thing. Everyone is always talking about how far down this country has fallen. How bad we have it. How awful all our leaders are. Lets not forget how many countries have people that are willing to risk there freedom to try to sneak over here. how many countries have people that come here for work for opportunity. for a chance to live a better life. How people do you know have tried to sneak in to mexico or any country for that matter. none... they all want to come here. Why??? because of our leaders. I am not a religious person in the least bit .
