If I was to follow any of you throughout the day with a video camera, with you eventually being comfortable with the cameras presence, I bet the camera would capture all kinds of hand signs from you.

I'm not saying that certain people don't make them on purpose, I'm saying the odds are that they are made by many as random movement.
