EGO. These guys have to "be right," and they´re here to prove to everybody that they´re right and everybody else is wrong.

I agree that a good majority of the posters here seem to think that they are "right." They don´t seem to be able to consider that anyone else´s opinion may in any way shape or form have some validity. They call themselves "liberal," but they are really very closed-minded. The sad thing is that you can never convince them that maybe there is another acceptable viewpoint other than theirs. Sad, really sad.

This is obviously a rhetorical question that does not invite decent conversation.

Is this your idea of a decent conversation? One where you immediately accuse us of being lacking in some way? A decent conversation starts out like, "What do you think should be done about global warming?´ When you start out, "Why are you people such assholes?" we find it hard to join in the discussion.

I think global warming is a good thing, just think of all the extra sammich mak´ins that will be grown in places like Alaska and northern canada. All the oil that would be needed to burn to heat homes would not be burned either. So many good things about being warm, so many bad things about being cold. What is the big deal about global warming anyway? Martians don´t seem to up set that their planet is globally warming.

It´s true. Seg mentioned in one of her posts that there is a ´pecking order´ on GLP, implying if you´re not near the top rung, what you have to say isn´t important.
