May I recommend a class at your local community college in astronomy....if your interested in truth that is.

Maybe it will get bigger like Comet Holmes.

Concerning the plasma from 2007 TU24topic posted Yesterday, 3:27 PM by Lana

Astronomers hold the theoretical assumption that bodies in space are electrically neutral. An electric comet or asteroid would strike at the foundations of the theoretical sciences. A few months ago, a surprise happened.

On October 24th, 2007, Comet Holmes was the largest object in our solar system. 42% larger than our sun. For no apparent reason, it erupted from a very dim magnitude 17 to about magnitude 2.5 and its coma expanded to 2,000,000 km diameter.

The unpredictable behavior from Comet Holmes can be explained by the breakdown of the plasma sheath that forms around a charged body in space. A plasma sheath insulates the charged body from the charge of the plasma outside it. Across the wall of the sheath, called the "double layer," there is a strong electric field. But when that wall breaks down, the result can be an explosive instability with accompanying electric discharge.

Because of Comet Holmes just a few months ago, scientists are starting to seriously consider the 'electric universe', or plasma cosmology.

Plasma Cosmology acknowledges the electrodynamic nature of all things in the universe. In this non-mechanical view, gavity and inertia are joined by other forces to create the universe we know (and don't know). Plasma is not electrically neutral, but is a superconductor that can carry electrical charges throughout the solar system.

If the asteroid 2007 TU24 is negatively charged like Holmes will it cause adverse reactions when it enters our magnetosphere in a few days? Or has it already come and gone?

I know that low-energy plasma discharges can take many forms: filamentary, toroidal, spiraling, and helical formations. They can even replicate the form of a dragon, which may be where many of our ancient myths come from.

I wonder who is going to be worried about jobs, economy and politics on January 28th 2008 ?

That one day (at the least) should switch at least some peoples perspectives and priorities. At least a few. Hopefully. Finally.

Life ...raw simple fundamental life might finally have a voice.

I wonder if "comet" Holmes could have been the cause of these asteroids being knocked out of some kind of normal orbit and kicking them closer to us. Hey you never know right ...i mean the TU24 asteroid near us and the other one near Mars. I wonder.

You think?

I have much more pending things to NOT worry about than TU24 causing problems.

lmao

Minimum Orbital Intersection Distance
The minimum orbital intersection distance (MOID) is the minimum distance between the osculating orbits of two objects. It indicates the closest possible approach of the two objects except where excluded by protective resonance.

As such, the MOID can act as an early warning indicator for collision between an asteroid and a planet. A large MOID between and asteroid and the Earth indicates the asteroid will not collide with Earth in the near term. Asteroids with a small MOID to Earth should be carefully followed because they can become Earth colliders.

Because of long-range planetary gravitational perturbations and, particularly, close planetary approaches, asteroid orbits change with time. Consequently, MOID also changes. As a rule of thumb, MOID can change by up to 0.02 AU per century, except for approaches within 1 AU of massive Jupiter, where the change can be large. Thus an asteroid that has a small MOID with any planet should be monitored.

Each day, we calculate the MOIDs between the inner solar system planets and near-Earth asteroids (NEAs). We limit the table of MOID values presented here to 0.05 AU or less for terrestrial planets and 1 AU or less for Jupiter.
