best chance for any real action is to file a police report with his local sheriff in person

fbi won't do shit unless there is a death threat involved in most cases

local sheriff MIGHT do something / might not...

hard to get anyone to take internet shit seriously unless there is a clear threat made

and I do mean CLEAR

you could take civil action against him (sue him) but even with that it would be hard to prove or collect damages

unless you have some past real life contact with the person

if you have that you could probably get a restraining order and make a criminal stalking charge stick

you could also get a criminal charge for harassment made against him too but you're talking petty misdemeanor shit and it would be hard to prove without court orders for the IPs of the poster etc. and even then if he's used a proxy, much harder..

it all boils down to the DA being willing to prosecute even if you can get the cops to formally charge him.. and most won't because of the difficulty to prove such things
