Is there a reason Money just removed the futures data for DOW, NASDAQ and S&P? Did the future market close or are they now trying to hide it?

The data has now returned and is unchanged. Still no updates since 11:29am ET.
Maybe hiding a huge crash? O_O
The Indices Were LOCK LIMIT DOWN...So THEY shut the live feed OFF to stave off a mass hysteria driven panic.

276706 .... I will attempt to answer your question.
Just start by thinking your UNEMPLOYED, and there is NO JOB for you in the forseeable future ( 1-3 YEARS ).
Imagine 40-50% of other wage earners are in the SAME boat
AND, if banks are closed, NONE of you can withdraw ANY money, use credit card, BORROW on your car, house or property.
IF you can swallow your pride, you MAY be able to get groceries on " relief " , is what it was called when I was a boy in the last depression. BUT, then, people HAD gardens, as MOST STILL lived in the country AND there was STILL wild game in the forest you could hunt.. For FOOD; NOT sport. People still knew how to skin the deer, rabbits, squirrls, and pluck partrige. They ALSO knew how to preserve the meat by smoking, salting and pickling.
NOT NOW ! That is the main difference. BUT the biggest difference now is the money is/will be worthless, the population is SOFT, and a good days work will kill them.
I made signs to post on the outer limits of the country area where I live before Y2K, because they were needed to keep out politicians, lawyers and other loafers/good for nothing peices of slime. First 3 rules :
1. Everybody works.
2. No food without work !
3. WORK comes FIRST !
Most will not make the depression and hard times ahead,
as anarchy will RULE in most places, as only 1 in a 100 has any preps, seeds, tools OR the knowledge to grow crops.
With the LIBERAL upbringing, few will have the GUTS to defend what they grow, or the know how.
Just for starters !

Friday January 18th was an expirations day in the options market and consequently, January options aren’t available anymore – they’ve expired.
For whatever reason, traders haven’t purchased nearly as many “puts” (a bet a stock will move lower) or “calls” (a bet a stock will move higher) for February, March or the outlying months.
What concerns Pete is the lack of “put” buying because if there are now fewer “puts” on the downside – protection isn't as prevalent. (Remember some institutional investors will buy stock and puts together. That way they benefit if share price moves higher and they also hedge their losses if it moves lower.)
That could mean we're set up for the perfect storm Tuesday, according to Najarian. "With less put protection, negative news could spark fear more easily and send stocks down fast and sharply,” he concludes.

come on, someone here has to be smart enough to know..
why is there no updated numbers on futures trading? the numbers were unavailable at cnn money for a good 4 hours and theyve been frozen at bloomberg. now the numbers are back at cnn but they are frozen from 11:29am.
i dont follow this stuff really, but is there a cutoff time for futures trading like the regular market? does anyone have an answer to this please?
otherwise all i smell is big doom in the headlines tomorrow morning. why either freeze trading or not report the numbers unless you want to hold off the big panic until the morning? |

It clearly shows the DOW has been gaining more highs than lows. I'd only be worried if the DOW go already down to say between the 3,000-4,000 range. Don't get me wrong though, I still want to witness a US stock market crash in my lifetime. Hopefully it's soon. |
