60 min. bob dylan:"penetrating magick", "deal with the chief of the invisible world"
60 minutes just had an interview with bob dylan

the lyrics for his early work were inspired by a "penetrating magick"
quote was at the beginning

and the quote about his making a deal for his destiny with the commander in chief of both this world and the invisible world was at the end

and it was followed by a cell phone ad using lyrics about pulling into nazareth and feeling half past dead

really appears as those the demons are coming out of the closet, or coming to the surface as mensaman said.

just look at the movies coming out, national treasure, alien vs pred, stepford wives, they´re literally telling us who they are, what they do, prince williams photographed in reuters giving the 2 fingered devil horned salute, the queen pictured ringing the neck of a bird.

the world council will rule in the open soon.

Saw it. He said he made a deal with "it" then when questioned further called it "the chief commander...of this world and the invisible one". The whole time he was hanging his head.
My sis told me about a rel program she heard not too long ago where the topic was about all the famous singers/songwriters/musicians who sold their souls to the devil for fame and fortune. The rev was saying they´ll come right out and tell you so and how some of their most famous song lyrics reflect that. Just never thought I´d ever hear someone say it.

What´s really frightening, when you think about it, is the way people call(ed) him a prophet. (I didn´t realize this until I saw this 60 Min segment and he was talking about how uncomfortable he was with that.)

The chief of this world and the next can only be God. Dylan himself was very outspokenly Christian at one time. Why assume that he is any thing else, now?

Wasn´t Bob Dylan´s last name really Zimmerman? And his parents Jewish. Irregardless, I never heard any Christian refer to God as "it" and go to the Wailing Wall wearing a skull cap ie: pretending to be Jewish.

"I used to. I don´t do that anymore. I don´t know how I got to write those songs. Those early songs were almost magically written," says Dylan, who quotes from his 1964 classic, "It´s Alright, Ma."

"Try to sit down and write something like that. There´s a magic to that, and it´s not Siegfried and Roy kind of magic, you know? It´s a different kind of a penetrating magic. And, you know, I did it. I did it at one time."

So why is he still out there?

"It goes back to that destiny thing. I mean, I made a bargain with it, you know, long time ago. And I´m holding up my end … to get where I am now," says Dylan.

And with whom did he make the bargain? "With the chief commander," says Dylan, laughing. "In this earth and in the world we can´t see."

Mote below that the second force of magick is "mind force"--described as "penetrating".

Six Forces of Magick
by: Gerald and Betty Scheuler

Enochian Magick recognizes six primary forces in the manifested cosmic planes of existence as follows:

1. Divine Force. This is the Supreme Force relative to our universe. The forces of light and heat are but pale reflections of this highly penetrating force.

2. Mind Force. This is the power of the mind, and includes various stages, from the highest, wisdom and intuition, to the lowest, the logic and reason of the intellect. This power is symbolized by either the Sword or Dagger, which represents the mind´s penetrating power. This force manifests chiefly as (a) Sensation; (b) Conceptualization; (c) Memory; and (d) Ego.

3. Will Force. When properly trained and disciplined, the force of will-power plays a major role in magickal operations. It is considered masculine in nature.

4. Thought Force. This force should not be confused with Mind Force. It often takes the form of projection, in order to produce external effects us (whereas Mind Force is chiefly internal). It is the occult force that continually projects fundamental subjective ideas of the Self outward into the World.

5. Creative Force. This is the Kundalini of eastern Tantrism. It manifests as electromagnetism. It is located in its unmanifested state in the subtle body at a point corresponding to the base of the spine in the physical body. When aroused, it rises upward into the psychic centers (or chakras) of the subtle body and activates them. It is considered feminine in nature.

6. Word Force. This is the power of letters, speech and music to influence things. It is the power of the mantra and japa of the East. The power of sound has long been known in the west. God is said to have created by uttering the Word. Similarly, every Magus must proclaim his or her own Word.

Re: 60 min. bob dylan:"penetrating magick", "deal with the chief of the invisible world"
In my humble opinion, Bradley´s interview with Dylan was certainly one of the best interviews that 60 minutes has ever done.

It doesn´t surprise me that most people do not understand Dylan. His particular personna defies understanding. He was not sent to this wretched realm to be understood. For lack of a better term, he is/was the Johnny-Appleseed of psychic revolution. In other words, the words to his songs have caused more people to think more things than they ever would have on their own.

First of all, he is a gemini. Only a gemini could pull off the masterfully complex lyric combinations that characterize his early successes. He is undoubtedly the king of convoluted musical poetry.

Also, whether you know it or not, he has a deep abiding and humble faith in God the Creator. Just in case you haven´t noticed, in most of his songs, he kicks satan squarely in the ass.

I know most of you kids are having fun with your parlor games, like imagining scales about to pop out of his skin, but please take a moment and reflect on the fact that sometimes you may entertain angels unaware.

The Artist´s Confession

by Charles Baudelaire translated by Aleister Crowley

How penetrating are the ends of autumn days! Ah, keen like pain! For there are certain delicious feelings whose vagueness does not prevent them from being intense, and no point is sharper than that of the Infinite.

How great is the delight of drowning one´s look in the vastness of sky and sea; solitude, silence, incomparable chastity of the blue; one little sail shuddering on the horizon, which by its smallness and its isolation is like a reflection of my irremediable existence; the melodious monotony of the swell; all these things think by virtue of me, or I think by virtue of them (for in the vastness of the reverie the Ego is soon lost) -- they think, I say, but musically and picturesquely, without quibbles, syllogisms, and deductions.

At the same time these thoughts, whether they arise from myself or dart forth from things external, soon become too intense. Energy in pleasure creates uneasiness and positive suffering. My nerves, too highly strung, no more give forth any but scolding and painful cries.

And now the depth of the sky affrights me; its limpidity exasperates me. The insensibility of the sea, the changelessness of the prospect, revolt me. Ah! must one eternally suffer, or fly eternally before the face of beauty? O! no, pitiless enchantress, ever victorious rival, leave me alone; cease to tempt my passion and my pride! The study of the beautiful is a duel where the artist cries with fear even before he is conquered.

The snake show[s] its superior intelligence--as mentioned--through its glance. With this animal it is a special ability, besides being its vigour and its outward rays, the magnetic, demonic rays in the eyes of the creature. The intelligence of an animal can always be detected in its eyes. Without the eyes, an animal would--as also with humans--[lose] its demonic appearance. In the eye of an animal, as for humans, we can see the soul of its intelligence, which always reveals itself as either a force of nature; heat and cold; or as a primitive form, and with the individual it is penetrating; in individualized form too.

Years ago I hung out in Greenwich Village at the time Dylan did. We were known as beatniks in those days...pre-hippy.

Tonight´s interview brought me back to the cool people in the cafe´s on Bleeker St. who sat around and philosophied about things which could not be put into words.

Yes...Dylan is still one cool cat.
