at best candidates pander to minorities for votes, they don't actually care about them. If they really cared they'd implement policies that would encourages them to get up, get a job, and be productive members of society, instead of laying around taking welfare, or dealing in illegal drugs.
If we decriminalized all drugs immediately, and ended all welfare, the ghettos would vanish, and blacks would have no choice but to become producive members of society, or starve to death.
Now that's REAL compassion, because it helps minorities out in the long run, instead of just pandering to people's feelings in the short run. |

so you see, no matter what, many of them (the ones born into poverty that is, there are many successful blacks, this doesn't apply to them) can't win, no matter what they do. if they go to college and better their situation. we get pissed if their on the street, and we get pissed if they are better than us. honestly, it's not really fair... |

The democrats tired, but standard strategy, is to tell minorities, PARTICULARLY BLACKS, " vote for us, and we will GIVE YOU FREE STUFF".
You need not work to eat, we'll give you food stamps.
Rent money ? Hah ? We'll give you free or subsidized rent.
Want the latest video / audio equipment and rap songs ? We'll give you a welfare check.
You can live a normal life and NEVER have to work, or actually do ANYTHING to EARN what you have.
The conservative Republican philosophy is that everyone who is able-bodied has a MORAL OBLIGATION to work, and ONLY if they cannot, then charities and some government programs can help out, but only UNTIL you are once again able to support yourself.
In other words, lazy piles of shit should NOT get "free stuff". |
