The reality of Super Heroes
Have you ever wondered where all the Super Heroes are?

I mean, for nearly sixty+ years, kids have grown up seeing images of these brightly clad men and women running around and fighting crime to save the day.

You would think that this alone would be enough to have a few kids grow up to be costumed crime fighters, right?

I can understand that a lack of Super Powers would be an impediment, but look at Batman, he holds no special powers (other than Billions of dollars of curse) Or daredevil, a blind guy that fights crime. (He does have some special senses that help, but this mainly just makes up for being blind.)

My thought is this. There are Super Heroes. They just don't get the good press that they do in the comic books and movies.

I remember a tale from about ten years back where, in New York city, a mugging victim and his wife were saved by a man dressed as batman, who literally swooped in, kicked butt and left the mugger tied up to wait for the police before taking off.

But instead of being called a Super Hero, or even a regular hero, this man was mocked and ridiculed in the little press he received.

How often does this happen and just goes unreported?

How often do the police cover such things up, to save face and to make themselves look a little better?

Anyone have a real story to share?

Let's leave off the fake stuff for now, I know you can do that, but does anyone have a real story?

Thanks.
