The very same Church who had people burned alive for translating it into English so us commoners could read it ourselves and you think they had no agenda in what went in and what didn't? That was missing for a whole generation and God didn't help them find it because they lost it and it is our responsibility to guard the word of the Lord. When the baptizer(Elijah) comes he will not baptize with physical water. He will baptize with a new way of thinking(renew the mind), and prepare the way for the new thing that is about to come. Just as John the baptizer(spirit of Elijah) was preaching a new message that God was sending the Savior of the world, and the old sacrifices would be obsolete.
