...There is also, however, an esoteric meaning of the "two witnesses". In kundalini yoga, they are referred to as the "ida" and the "pingala". "Going to heaven in a cloud" refers to the Vision of the "Son of man". In terms of the dimensions of consciousness, the "two witnesses" pertain to the consciousness of the "self" and the 'thinker', the destruction of which occurs prior to the Vision of the "Son of man"--also referred to as the "Tree of Life", the "sidrah tree" (Sura 53 of the Quran) and the "Vision of Knowledge" (from the Thanksgiving Hymns, written by Jesus).
