Yep it was Ezechiel 22 that I was thinking of. Though I was thinking and reading on the first few chapters of Isaiah also. I don't think we are at the point of 2:4 yet though. That will be after the great and terrible day of the Lord.
It seems Ezechiel says the same things as Isaiah (surprise, surprise). Among the abominations that he lists are sexual sin and oppressing the poor and needy just as Isaiah talks about. As a matter of fact he berates them for for getting rich off of those folks. It sounds like the modern western and modern religion (Christianity included) with their cohorts to me for the most part. The prophets ravaning among them like wolves. The priests making the holy profane and such.
I know Ezechiel was talking to Judah of the time, but we both know that scripture can and does apply multiple times. That's another reason why God is so smart and holy.
Worshiping the work of their hands? That can apply to how some folks worship science. I mean there is nothing wrong with using tools (science is but that), but when you start thinking that is what will save you it crosses a line into idolatry.
It was actually Malachi 3 I was thinking of. Sorry about the rely time. When I start looking In the Bible I start reading a lot and Malachi and Isaiah are among my favorites on the OT side.

I will regret nothing of what I have said to you of what God Almighty has revealed to me, only be sorry that, partly also because I am just a human being like you all are, that I can not reach all of you and point the way to you for peace and eternal blessedness. I, myself, have had a great deal of testing in the course of the last month. I have been ridiculed, judged, and mocked by my beliefs that are anchored in the everlasting gospel and Scripture. I pray for my brothers and sisters around the world. This journey is not for the faint of heart. But, faith will prevail and God's truth will be revealed to this Earth. Praise be to God Almighty.
