Dear people, you out there who I would love to know,

Excuse me, but I want to tell you a story from my life, from when I was on the day 5 years old. My sister, who is two years older than me had started to attend school, some 5 km from where we lived in a very very small village. She came home with a very nice primer, and on the cover there was the picture of a colorful beautiful cock, so I said to her that such a primer I also want to have. She laughed at me and said that since I am just 5 years old I cannot have such a primer.

It was, as far as I remember, Sunday, and I sat naked on the kitchen table, without clothes, and my elder sister sat by the table. She said to me: Today you are five years old! I answered to her: Yes, I know it, so now I want to go to school! She laughed at me and said that I could not, for I was too young. Then I said to her: If I cannot go to school I will instead be a prophet! She laughed even more and said to me: You cannot be a prophet, for you are too thin. This was a joke on her part, for "phet" sounds as the Norwegian word for fat in English. Since I was so thin I could not be "fat".

Well, what she did not know was that some days earlier, when I was alone outside our house in the dark, I suddenly felt the presence of God Almighty, and in that moment I said in the darkness while watching the northern lights: Oh God, I want to be yours, so let us now make a covenant, I am your child and you are my God. It was a very strange and powerful moment for me, even though I then was a little child. From what happened to me in the dark winter evening I learned that God communicates with small children, He loves them from their first moment and is close to them, waiting for their response.

This was the first touch on my soul by God that I really felt, and it has followed me in my life since.

So, let God speak to you, my dear people, without words but still with inexplicable power, from you childhood to your grey hair!
