Babylon IMO is NYC. Didn't start that way, but you know the old devil. By extension I suppose he means the US in general I'm not so sure of that. True, there are depraved parts and there are parts where folks are heartless. There are enough of us that haven't bought into the religious commercialism/corporatism/militarism/Pharisaical (fake christians and I do mean the small C) buffoons. Think about it, I remember a time when it was different about 40 years or so ago. I say this as retired Army NCO.
God is supposed to be first. What would Jesus do shouldn't be a slogan or a piece of jewelry it should be a way of life. Be honest how many people have read the Bible cover to cover and made a real effort to understand?
They don't because they're too busy and that is by design, not necessarily by mankind. Can't have a large corporation without consumers. When someone ,a country or individual, trys to break that mold they are the very least harrased. Wear blue jeans consistently to church sometime most will give the super evil eye. Heck, I've heard more than sermon on that before.

It's starting to get better in some churches, but others not so much. I would go into details, but I'm sure you're aware of it. The thing that hurts my heart is a lot of them will look down on the poor and working class.

The same folks (those fake christians) cheered the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. I told them then that either one of these would make Vietnam look like a cake walk. How can someone actually cheer killing (on both sides) and call themselves of God. I hear self-defense and I say turn the other cheek. Needless to say I'm not real popular in some churches.
